Vita Game Videos From e3 Show Floor

Jet Set Radio looks fucking amazing

I'll get it on Steam, but that Vita screen makes it look soooo vibrant. Perfect screen for the game.

It is too bad that so many of those games are games you can play on a home console. Not sure why anyone would be excited for a Vita version if they can play a better version elsewhere.

Nawp, it's pretty awesome, since I'd never buy some of these on a console. Will buy on my vita. Portable = better for me.

I much enjoy portable gaming on the Vita than my 70" HDTV. Its just way more comfortable to me.

*High five*

Especially during the summer months.

So many great titles. Been waiting for the Vita version of Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath.
It's priced the same, I hope.

Strangers Wrath is on the Vita? It's another port but at least it's something. Amazing game.

Oh, I think every PS3 game that can be given life on both platforms should, at least if it's feasible and as easy to do as Sony claims it is. I just think that a thread that seems reactionary to the "Vita is doomed" vibe of GAF is pretty weakly countering said vibe with games that can be found elsewhere.

True, but at the same time we needed a thread for this anyways. Us Vita owners gotta get something out of E3.

Just wish Soul Sacrifice would get more time to shine at E3. It's our obscenely violent beacon of hope.

Many of us want this. I want to be able to play FIFA and MLB 12, but I don't have time to spend in front of my TV playing this. Or my wife might want to watch a TV show. Portable console experiences are the reason I bought the Vita, honestly.

Turns out there ARE actually a lot of games coming to Vita that I'm interested in. The lineup is much more interesting to me than that of the 3DS.

Disappointing that it's received such little fanfare from Sony. :(

Wow I've been out of the loop on Vita stuff lately. Kinda just been collecting dust, but man I had no idea MGS and Gravity were coming out next Tuesday. This is awesome, plus after seeing those videos I'm now gonna be buying at least 6 more Vita games this year. HYPE

I'm on an airplane all the time. Like 15 hours a week probably, so yeah, those of us that leave the house, have jobs that keep us away from home, in hotels, on airplanes. I sure don't mind. I know I'm in the very small minority but I still end up using it at my house.

Damn, All-Stars looks great on Vita. I hope Sony goes crazy and makes it free with the purchase of the PS3 version. I just don't see myself buying the game twice, but I'd love to have it on my Vita as well.

Whats the name of the AR laser puzzle game? Really interested in that one.

Found it!

PulzAR - coming out this month :)

Nothing at E3 apparently though.

Some types of games are better for me on a portable because of the suspend function i.e. no need to set aside time to play games, as in play for 5 minutes then suspend. I own like 150 PSN and XBLA games that I never get around to playing yet I play the same sort of games on PSP and the time does add up. I have played long involving games like SRPG just in those minutes between doing something else yet I have Disgaea 4 on PS3 for many months now and only finished the first chapter. I will sit later to play Dragon's Dogma but I already have played some Mortal Kombat Vita between editing something. It doesn't really eat into my console gaming time. It eats into momentary downtime i.e procrastination, like right now I could be playing the Vita but I'm wasting time on the internet instead - that's what it's replacing.

Why don't you book into a hotel, or a holiday abroad and see how fucking easy it is to do as you say. Better yet get a wife and a kid, and see how easy it is to sit down and play games locked in a room on your own for more than 10 minutes.

Not everyone has the same lifestyle as you.

I think Duffy's post have been sufficiently addressed, lol.

I've got Gravity Rush preordered
Gonna go preorder MGS HD
\o/

Gravity Rush is a sure thing for me, but no need to preorder since I'm going digital.

I really want MGS2&3 for my Vita...but I already have the PS3 collection. Tough call, but it might be worth double dipping if transfarring is still a thing.

Why, why, WHY were these not shown at the presentation instead of a 20-minute "Wonderbook" demo?

according to Shuhei, the marketing team want a shorter press conference because in the past Sony press con has been criticized for being too long. so they don't have time to show Vita games.

as for why wonderbook got a lot of time, well the marketing team probably think that is more important...

I just wish MGS HD had the first one. I haven't played it in forever and it doesn't look like I'll get to play it via PS1 classics or whatever anytime soon.

lol so a guy posts a thread with REAL Vita games is "weakly" trying to down play the Vita doom and gloom thread?

lol, right?

Thank you for this thread. I had no idea Vita had any presence at e3. I'm glad to see that even though Sony is ignoring its awesome device, there are still games to be had.

Nice set of games, but I don't see any other those actually selling much hardware. Sony really needs something huge to sell the system. Those titles might drive some sales, but not enough. Also, it should be said again that Sony should have avoided Wonderbook for 20+ minutes and had on-stage demonstrations of some of these games instead. Maybe Sony will start having big stand alone events for a bunch of huge Vita titles. Hopefully soon too.

Regardless, I am loving the Vita games on display. I will likely buy most of those. I gotta say though, Sine Mora looks fantastic! Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will be mine on day one. So happy to see the PSOne Classics working finally.

I will likely buy most of the big PS3/Vita titles on the Vita instead of the PS3.

PORTABLE DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS???

Do people never leave the house or live with anyone that could conceivably be on the TV?

Yes this really..
Why would we make portable console in first place if it's the same as playing on a tv...
Just to have an other console with other games ?
