Vita Game Videos From e3 Show Floor

I think Duffy's post have been sufficiently addressed, lol.

In that there are a small number of people whom the Vita's penchant for porting actually appeals to? Sure. That's still not nearly enough people to save the system.

By the way, I bought the early edition and love it. But I'm not going to buy two versions of the same game, or just the inferior version. I'll play Gravity Rush and Lumines while on the road, then the other games while at home.

The most annoying thing about your comments is that you make the Vita version to be the inferior one. They are different in usage, controls etc. They dont necessarily need to be "inferior". This is trolling without thinking.

As a Vita owner, I'm pretty pleased they actually had games on the show floor. The conference really pissed me off in regards to Vita.

Same here. Thanks for the thread, I've been looking for something like these. Those conferences weren't worth a damn.

Yeah, I don't give a fuck whether or not the Vita is "saved," and I hate that so many people have that mentality in every thread and focus on that instead of what we have to play.

I care about games. There are plenty of other threads where you can go talk about how shitty the system is selling.

I'm sure it's been asked a million time already, but how big is Gravity Rush on the JPN PSN? I want to make sure I have enough room in case I decide to go digital.

Also, thanks OP. Some nice looking games there!

Oh, I was just saying that it wasn't necessary for people to keep responding to your post, not that we proved you wrong or anything like that. I know it wasn't your intention, but we were getting a bit derailed.

1350mb, according to my Google research. Not bad, I can squeeze it into my 16gb.

After seeing how few exclusive games were shown at Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony's conferences this year, why single out the Vita as not having enough exclusive titles?

I love the parity between PSN and Vita games- it makes every game a little more of a no-brainer.

For real, damn. Every single Vita thread turns into a make believe stockholder room. There are a ton of threads for that already. Why turn every Vita thread into the same pile of shit?

Jet Set Radio, MGS and Sly look good. Wasn't impressed by the rest.

PS All-Stars seemed to not be the best kind of game for that size screen. The distant perspective seemed to make everything distastefully small. Good on a TV, kinda not on portable? Also Oddworld seemed to be running at or less than 30fps? And the aiming seemed a bit odd. Like, jumpy or overly-sensitive?

Anyway, will JSR come to XBLA/PSN? I'd love to see it in HD.

The most hilarious thing about your guys' comments is how angry you're getting. I honestly never expected nor wanted that, but it is damn funny!

I want the Vita to do well! Incredibly well, even! I'm a Sony fanboy, for Pete's sake. I think lots of ports and few original games is a bad way to go about it. And I think it's too early to doom the system entirely, but this E3 does not bode well.

I hope/expect a Vita-centered showing in a couple months, like what Nintendo is doing with the 3DS. I'm guessing they didn't show much Vita at the conference as a reaction to last year's knee-jerks with the shoulder-cam nonsense.

Ah, ok, got ya. Thanks for clearing that up, otherwise I would have felt super bad when I PUNCHED YOUR LOVED ONES IN THE FACE!!!!1111

Anything from Madden 13 ??? Really want to see what it looks lik, might get it instead of 360 version...

Also any other sports games ?

The limit of that reasoning is that if it's not saved at some point, you won't have any game to play on it anymore...

About ports, i love them and i really find videogame world is totally silly about that. Let's make a simple math. For a given game which was released at some point, some years ago.. How many people bought this game ? Meaning, how many people never played this game yet ?

Videogame history is full of awesome games that nobody never played, and that would even look good on a portable... there are millions of it really.

I never questioned your attitude towards the console itself. But your comments certainly make Vita versions of multiplatform games seem like the inferior version. Which they dont necessarily need to be. If the game has the same features and offers more controls, it doesnt make it "inferior". There are many people buying into the Vita versions because they are even superior for them due to the portability or extra control methods.

Why didn't they do a Vita presentation?! It really is beyond me, it just makes sense but Sony did the opposite.

Or because they didn't have an original Xbox or Dreamcast. Great games are great games, and these Vita Ports look great. Cheap too.

Thanks a bunch. I'm probably going to do the same(squeeze it onto my 16gb) since it's not a huge amount a space, a little bigger than a normal demo.

I just watched the PlayStation All-Stars video and it just... looks so nice.

Ah, I don't even know what games you're referring to. Can you give me some examples?

I'm not talking about something like Persona 4: The Golden, as that is a port/remake of a PS2 game. I'm talking about games with HD counterparts; Sly, Sony Smash, all that stuff.

I did/do assume that no L2, R2, L3, R3, sticks with way less movement, a too-clicky D-pad and a small screen would make the games inherently inferior, but if there are features/bonuses coming to these games that are Vita-specific, I'm all ears!

There was a rumor in the "PS Vita general advice thread, part 3 ..." that Madden on the Vita may not be all that great.

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=38590603&postcount=8600

Hope that isn't the case. Fifa on the Vita was a good game from what I've heard. EA should have the same team doing the Madden port to Vita.

Granted I agree that Sony really dropped the ball by almost ignoring Vita in it's press conference but I truly think that Sony is saving announcements for TGS because that's where they have the greatest shot at success. Japanese developers are going to be the ones to support this thing as was the case with PSP so why make major announcements in a market where they'll have little to no impact on the mainstream media? E3 is no longer enthusiast like it was during the days when releasing a Metal Gear Solid trailer was a big deal: it's almost entirely western centric now so COD and Assassin's Creed were the most meaningful announcements for this market IMHO.

That's cool, but keep that in other threads about that topic. :)

It's not one I care to continue reading about, since I avoid sales-age, and prefer to talk about games.

Can anybody guess what FPS MGS is running on Vita? Has it been confirmed anywhere?

why such excitement? many of these on home console....

Your point? So it won't be fun cos you can also get them on home consoles?

I can't use my PS3 or 360 when I'm on night shift etc at work .. hence why ports are welcome for me for breaks

I do get your point, but take Motorstorm RC for example. I like to play it more on Vita than on PS3, it just feels better. It has the same content, and I like the controls better on Vita. But the best feature of this version of the game, is that I can play it in bed in 15-20 minute bursts before sleeping. I can't do that with my PS3. Things like that may not be important to you, but to others portability is a huge feature in itself.

There's no arguing against that fact that more original games built for the system would be nice, but I like to have the option. When the differences are minor or negligible, I'll go with Vita. It's nice to not be tethered to a television.

EDIT - Heh, four other people just posted the same thing. Anyways...Retro City Ramapage is lookin' pretty dope.
Same.
Also, they are cheaper.

Yeah, Motorstorm RC is definitely a better mobile experience. Shaving a few seconds off a lap or beating a friend's time is just funner for me during slow periods at work then when I'm home in my living room.

Oh, I think every PS3 game that can be given life on both platforms should, at least if it's feasible and as easy to do as Sony claims it is. I just think that a thread that seems reactionary to the "Vita is doomed" vibe of GAF is pretty weakly countering said vibe with games that can be found elsewhere.

The thread is more of a direct reaction to the "Vita has no games" meme at this point since Sony dropped the ball on showcasing the system during the conference. There are plenty of games for the system and the list above is great to see.

I'm surprised Ragnarok Odyssey isn't on the show floor. It is getting a Western release, correct?

GS does have a posted release date for it, but I'm not sure how accurate it is.

hmm I haven't found any, might have to pop in Home lol

Hm? Have they trailers for all show floor games in Home? If there is a list or something, I'd appreciate if someone could write it up.

Thanks for the videos, OP.

I'm excited because I play my portables more than my consoles since I commute or I play them during breaks at school or work.

Even if they're ports, they're welcome to me. Original content would be better, but it's not like the ports will stop being fun if I play them on a Vita (or 3DS since this may apply to that handheld as well).

Is LittleBigVita (what it should be called) not at E3? It's supposed to have been out this quarter... but now I'm starting to worry. I still think this is Vita's killer app.

Was in Home last night looking around. There isn't much there. On the virtual show floor, most of the Vita games don't even include screen shots. Instead, it just looks like a couple of PowerPoint slides with very little information. And there are only a couple of Vita games represented. Very disappointing.
