Vita Game Videos From e3 Show Floor

Is LittleBigVita (what it should be called) not at E3? It's supposed to have been out this quarter... but now I'm starting to worry. I still think this is Vita's killer app.

It is at E3. There's also a beta out now. It will be coming, don't worry. Maybe not this quarter, but still.

Thanks for the videos, OP.

I'm excited because I play my portables more than my consoles since I commute or I play them during breaks at school or work.

Even if they're ports, they're welcome to me. Original content would be better, but it's not like the ports will stop being fun if I play them on a Vita (or 3DS since this may apply to that handheld as well).

Yap, me too ! Vita is my primary console now. Bought more software on it for the last 2 months than PS3 and iOS. I won't be able to play a 123+ hours game if I can't play it outside the livingroom.

Half of these should have been shown at the conference for those that don't own Vitas to see and get excited. Now they are mainly being hunted down and looked at by people that already own Vita's. Freaking Sony.

Videos look good, still think i'm going to pick up Lego Batman. Oragrythm looks promising and I might actually pick up AC for Vita first and wait the 2 weeks for an AC 3 half of sale (haha, jk, not really kidding)

Also interested in LBP Vita. I couldn't get into the PSP version and just didn't have the time to get into the console versions but a robust console experience of it on my Vita that I can play around with and create anywhere or while watching TV would be great.

*nod* *nod* Whoever in charge of Sony's E3 presentation should take a pay cut for a year, plus spend some time with us.

PORTABLE DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS???

Do people never leave the house or live with anyone that could conceivably be on the TV?

i would imagine that a lot of people don't have wives or kids or have the ability to conceive at some point in their lives they can't dominate a TV for hours at a time.

I just wish MGS HD had the first one. I haven't played it in forever and it doesn't look like I'll get to play it via PS1 classics or whatever anytime soon.

Get this: I've ONLY played the first one.

Looking SO forward to finally playing MGS 2 and 3... and then actually loading and completing Peace Walker and Portable OPS, neither of which I could tolerate with those convoluted PSP controls schemes.

Welp, if they put Portable Ops 1 and 2 on PSN, I'll definitely buy them day 1 !

The MGS HD collection for Vita.... may be later.

why such excitement? many of these on home console....

I've never understood this argument against some of the Vita games. The fact that the Vita makes the console games portable is what is exciting. I imagine the TSA would frown on me taking my PS3 onboard an aircraft and plugging it in.

A chance these games are on the floor? I just haven't come across any videos of actual hands on gameplay from E3 but these 2 games should be released this year (don't quote me on that lol):

When Vikings Attack (this was posted towards the end of may)

And the E3 trailer of Silent Hill: Book of Memories

Excited for MGS HD next week. Never played 3.

Btw:

Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes is scheduled to release on Tuesday, June 19th, but you can try it out days before release at your local GameStop! Stop by your local GameStop on Saturday, June 16th, to play this highly anticipated release.

Hopefully that includes the Vita version.

This is the #1 reason why my household is insisting I buy a handheld. The opportunity of playing a portable version instead of dominating the home TV is a huge selling point, and the Vita library is just getting better and better.

I spend so much time now on my Vita with headphones while the wife watches Real Housewives or some such garbage.

I don't understand those who are arguing against consumer choice of being able to play either on the TV or the Vita. I thought more choices were better. Call me crazy I guess.

Yap, I can now play beside my wife while she watches her favorite TV show on my PS3.

I'm now spending more "quality time" with the wife as she watches every possible singing/dancing show on the planet. During the loading screens and commercials we may actually get a couple of words in if they happen at the same time.

Edit:

Who on GAF runs a Vita site ?

Bwahaha... she used to complain I buy/play too many games. I have cut down a little, but it's okay if I play beside her on the couch, and outside the house. Works out well so far.

Have gone fully DD so she doesn't see the game boxes. Makes sense for me coz I lost everything (wedding bands, watches, entire PSP, Vita bag with game cartridges, you name it). With DD, at least I can redownload the lost games.

Now I can tell my son not to play too much video games too since he doesn't see me play games much. 8^P

Thanks ! Will check it out.

I'm looking forward to Retro City Rampage and Jet Set Radio... Although do you get both versions (PS3 and Vita) in just one price (say 9.99) for these games?

I do know Sound Shapes provides you both copies in one price.

Then does Nintendo have a console for you!!!

They didn't show whether I'd finally be able to play FF7 with an analog stick or not :(

I just want the PSOne emulator to have a special "fix Resident Evil controls" mode. Really hard for me to get in the game when you feel like you are navigating a tank around a room full of furniture.

Man, I really wanted to purchase a Vita... I even got the $50 off coupon from tsilon and just wanted Sony to announce something I would get excited over... then I was still considering purchasing as a way to play all my PSOne classics remotely. Then I read this on Joystiq:

http://www.joystiq.com/2012/06/06/vita-psone-classics-to-be-rolled-out-gradually/

PSOne classics will have their own release schedule. So even after they go live, I won't have access to my full catalog of PSOne Classics. Sounds to me like we'll never have full backwards compatibility we'd hoped for.

First and only time I tried to play RE was on the DS. Bro, that game was WHACK. I couldn't get through the dining room.

A great point, but he was talking about playing at home.

I started off playing at home too, then gradually found out that there are pockets of time where I can game outside too. ^_^

Even better when AT&T offers shared data plan (for multiple devices). Am really looking forward to that. It better be affordable.

:/ I was hoping for portable Breath of Fire IV on my Vita. Good to know we won't have to repurchase them, though.

There really are Vita games at e3!

Retro City Rampage
Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath
Playstation All-Stars
Sly Cooper
Sunflowers
Super Monkey Ball
Jet Set Radio
Frobisher Says
Sine Mora
Snapshot
Orgarythm
Metal Gear HD Collection (Looks like I'll be buying my billionth version of Metal Gear Solid 3 on Tuesday)
Hatsune Miku
Foosball (Vita's full potential achieved)
PS One Classics (Doesn't show much, but FFVII's title screen still excites me)
Lego Batman 2: DC Superheroes

Some of them aren't the best, like Sunflowers load times and the guys camera seems to keep trying to auto focus on Playstation All-Stars. But, at least we can see some of the games Sony decided not to share with the world.

Will add more.

Has anyone seen KickBeat yet? Zen said they'd be showing it at E3.

Pretty blown away seeing Stranger's Wrath. Still very novel to me that a portable system can do the console shooter experience, and Stranger will probably be the best example of that on the system for a while.

I was thinking about getting Sine Mora (XBLA) but now I'm definitely gonna wait for the OLED version.

Theres no release date yet except for "soon" but it's a PSN title so I hope it's out before August.

So, Stranger's Wrath is sub-native res, but Just Add Water told me that it will be in native res when it releases. Good news for those of us that are bothered by the amount of sub-native res Vita games.

Not only will it look great but will also have something new added:

Exclusive to the Vita version of the game is a guest character from G.rev’s Under Defeat, Wilhelmine Muller.

Muller’s inclusion in the Vita version of Sine Mora will bring a new special weapon and new Chronomes, which are the ship combinations you can choose from in the game.

Out of interest, out of the 120 million + people who own either a PS3 or 360 or whatever, how many of those actually watch the E3 conference?

Is there any Persona 4 Golden footage outside of what was just aired on Sony's livestream? Looked awesome but there wasn't a whole lot of it :(

The games look sooo good. I just wish I was interested in some of them. I've asked but is there an 'upcoming' list somewhere? I can't find any good release dates and it's been mentioned over 100+ games will be out for the Vita by years end.
