Vita Game Videos From e3 Show Floor

The PSP version of the PSone emulator allowed you to map the d-pad buttons to the joystick that way, so I'm sure you wont have any trouble with the Vita's emulator.

Which is funny because the PS3 does not let you map the dpad to the analog, which always blew my mind. If anything, home console with way more power and 'functionality' should be expected to have more features, not less..

Sega is really localizing Hatsune Miku Project Diva for the West/US? That's awesome, they said they were done with "smaller" franchises. I hope they will release it in Europe too.

Don't know when they were posted, but there is an e3 section on the Vita store today with trailers for Little Big Planet, Little Big Planet Karting, and Sly Cooper.

i think in the other thread some rep said it was a "tech demo"

It is too bad that so many of those games are games you can play on a home console. Not sure why anyone would be excited for a Vita version if they can play a better version elsewhere.

Don't people at you weirdly when you setup PS3 and 50" TV in middle of subway ?

Nick Suttner has tweeted that in their booth they also have Soul Sacrifice, When Vikings Attack, Smart As, T@g, Guacamelee, New Little Kings Story, Sound Shapes, Zen Pinball 2 and LBP.

Woah! I want videos to all of those please!

Same way I feel. I suppose people are desperate to have something to play on their new system.

Is that really the extent of the games announced for this thing? I really like the hardware. I want to get one. The games just aren't there.

We went over this countless times, but just because portability isnt important to YOU, it doesnt make it irrelevant as a feature. People neglecting that are outright trolling. So its not just "being desperate to have something to play on my new system", but instead having actual advantages of games being played on Vita instead of PS3.

Well, Jack Tretton said something about 60 full blown games in the pipeline, and the games in the OP are just a part of the ones already been announced.

Check the other Vita game thread for that though, many great games coming up. Considering the games we got E3 trailers for and the other games currently in the pipeline, the Vita has a stronger loóking lineup for me than any other console out there, with the only exception possibly being the 3DS.

This is a fairly solid lineup of games. I wonder why they didn't want to have a short Vita reel at their conference with these titles? Would have been good.

This is more than others led me to believe they had to offer. Looks good.

Can anyone explain to me why a game on the Vita that is also on the PS3 is a port, but if the same game is on the x360 then it is considered a multiplat?

Out of interest, out of the 120 million + people who own either a PS3 or 360 or whatever, how many of those actually watch the E3 conference?

(1) Those who watch E3 can summarize their findings to their friends, and circulate their opinions on blogs, fora, facebook, etc.

(2) The media will summarize the E3 happenings, and post on mainstream sites

Taking 5 minutes to summarize Vita's strength is way way cheaper than doing yet another Vita advertising campaign on TV and YouTube.

Because it's more useful and functional for me.

The more used version is the Vita one because I can play in the comfort of my bed (provided it doesn't fall on my face when I got tired and fell asleep halfway). I know the PS3 version will look better, but I get more satisfaction out of the Vita one. Besides, for some games, I can play both for the price of one. If you haven't tried it yet, it may be a little hard to understand.

I can now afford to play l-o-n-g a-s-s games, and also overlap my play time with my family watching Hulu Plus on PS3. I also reorganized my routine a little, and have an hour playtime in some comfortable cafe on the way home.

Plus getting exclusive Vita games and cheap mobile games.

EDIT: My top request for Vita improvement would be to make the web browser multitask with the game better. Right now, I have to trampoline via the Twitter app to start the web browser in parallel with a game. It should just let me launch the browser directly. I use it to check for hints/tips while playing games like Persona 3.

The guy who uploaded most of those uploaded a video of Wake Up Club and Youtube, so added those, and changed the video for Jet Set to this one. Better quality and the people playing seem to know how to play the game.

Any PS classic videos showing the touchscreen settings?

Were there any filters on the PSClassics that are applicable ala the PSP Bilinear Filtering and Color settings?

I like that Vita is present in E3 :D
Some interesting games there. I wish Soul Sacrifice was available as a demo at E3 so I can watch more videos.

PS1 classics ftw. I do hope they deal with that aspect ratio though

4:3, stretch, and zoom are all you'll get. Devs would have to go back and change all their rendering techniques for different resolutions, straight up changing the resolutions would cause all sorts madness like 3D assets not loading correctly or 2D assets hiding off screen.

The sad part about this thread is that most of these games are already known in the weeks leading up to E3. It seems that gaffers just want to sensationalize the doom and gloom aspect, makes them feel better to say 'the vita has no games' suppose. Just look at the number of people complaining in this thread that these games are just 'ports'. That's like saying we should be excited about a ps3 game cuz they are multiplatform. Utterly ridiculous.

In any case, good job with the thread op.

It'd be cool if Monkey Ball is similar to the awesome GC versions, and not the shittier followups. Keeping my eye on that one.

Sine Mora looks awesome, looks like my hatred of XBLA's obnoxious points system has paid off - now I can pick up on Vita instead.

And in response to people asking why I would be interested in these when they're available on consoles - firstly, I haven't played a lot of the 'port' games on their console counterparts. Secondly, they're on a portable. Much prefer to play that way.

I was in pretty rough shape for a few hours after Sony's conference, but SEGA has pumped me back up. Really excited for their entire VITA lineup.

Thanks for this thread. Helped with the depression I was feeling after my current favorite gaming machine got totally neglected.

Or we aren't perpetually alone in our basement not having to worry about kids or significant others wanting to use a TV... you know... adult things

Me too. I had owned a Vita for less than six hours at time of conference. I thought I'd made a huge mistake.

Even though most of these were previously announced, as a new owner, I didn't know about the majority of them or had just forgotten. I still don't get why they didn't cut five minutes from the book garbage and just show a montage of all these games.
