PS Vita general advice thread, part 3 | Veni, vidi, Vita

Early in the conference, I thought I was locked to finally pull the trigger on the VITA, but then any extra info just came to a sudden stop.

I think I'm okay for what's available at this point, but I think I'll just wait until I can get a bit of a deal on one.
 
8 gig memory cards are already $30 on Amazon. $20 if you're willing to brave getting a used one. I'm really hoping someone makes a Vita to Micro SD adapter. I don't feel like paying $100 for a 32 gig card when I can get 64 gig micro SD for half that price.
 
Amazon has Hot Shots Golf for $20 new. Game any good?

There are some new 8 gig cards for abot $20 on there, you have to scroll down past the "featured sellers" for some stupid reason to see the lower prices.

This is fantastic news, was thinking about selling my vita but this could put the breaks on that, I also will lap up any decent psn game on a weekly basis.

PvZ is an eye gouging product if I ever saw one. While Sony and some other developers are trying to push buy once play on both machines, Popcap decided to charge twice for the same game. Not only that, but each game is 15 bucks on PSN (PS3 and Vita versions). The game is sub 10 on ipad/iphone and android. I'll consider buying it if they ever patch it or bundle both versions for 10 bucks, otherwise I cannot support this consumer eye gouging practice.

It would be an insta purchase if they would bundle it and set it at sub $10.

I've only got 20GB of my 32GB card left (29GB usable). I've got HSG and MS:RC as DD games, about 6 PSP games, 6 minis, and a handful of demos. My other Vita titles are on carts and don't take up that much space.

I was planning on being DD only with the Vita, but with the current memory sizes that isn't possible (for me at least). I'm not interested in constantly backing up and restoring games. But I doubt that an adapter is possible due to the size of the Vita memory. We'll probably just have to wait until the storage sizes increase to drive down the cost of the smaller memory cards.

I thought the same, and still think the same. But my body went and bought PvZ for Vita @ $15.

$20 for Hot Shots Golf on Amazon is a great deal. I think I'm going to have to pull the trigger on that one.

Will give me a reason to turn off TiTs :)
 
Hey guys, i just saw that NOVA is available as a mini for Vita, i want to buy it, but i need to know if you can invert aiming first?
Also, a double pack of carnivores, dinosaur hunter and ice age came up, same question for those.

Vita may freeze sometimes. Hold down the power button for 30 seconds to hard reset it. When the blue screen shows up, choose "Restart"

EDIT: if you can't access PS Store for some reason, the above hard reset trick may solve it. If not, call Sony helpdesk (probably server side credit card check issues).

Downloading Niconico atm. Why is the Yoshida twitter worth subscribing to?
Currently transferring my music and some videos
 
Strange that PixelJunk Monster Deluxe is downloadable on the store now, but not transferable from the PS3. It's a complete guessing game what can and cannot work on this wonderful little system.

I played it for 12 levels and I'm not feeling it yet.

I can recommend Where is my Heart, fantastic puzzle platformer. Also a PSMini and has to be transferred via the PS3 if you have an US account.

I want the PS6 portable to essentially be a Vita 2, but I know it’ll be one of these big ugly nerd tablets instead.
