Damn, you guys get everything first!
Good to know it's coming though. Thanks

I think it's clear at this point that Sony calculated that their wall to wall coverage on playstation.com would be where Vita would shine since they have been parceling out this content over the last few days. It's pretty baffling that this wasn't shown during the conference though.
I think it wasn't shown during the conference since the general consensus (at least on GAF) last year was that everyone hates montages and we only want on-stage demos. Maybe Sony took the criticism to heart. We only got the short montage at the beginning. Or maybe they really didn't have time to show it. Who knows.
Playing through P3P and I'm liking the sim aspect of it. Are there any other psp/vita games that have more of this?
P3P = Persona 3 for PSP ? I'm playing it now. Only final battle left. What sim aspect are you referring to ? You mean the girl friend sim ?
For those that missed my super early morning post...

The Vita is not Doomed (Even though Sony tried their best)
Take a look if you want to read some not-doom and not-gloom. I know there's been so very little of it. There's also some tidbits from the show floor and some other stuff (mostly all stuff i've posted here... but all in one place!)
I noticed in my dashboard that 4chan linked to it... which was really cool. They called me names and stuff, which was expected. But the best is that i'm a viral marketer for Sony. That's really awesome.
Actually, I would love to have that job. Sony?? You guys looking? Hire me.
Also wanted to say im wrapping up Resistance and it's not nearly as bad as the press has made it out to be. Nothing about it is exceptional, but nothing is borked either. I found it pretty enjoyable. I am a fan of the universe though... and im sure that helped.
Messed with some vita games at e3. I tried Jet Set Radio, MGS HD Collection, Lego Batman 2, Ogarythm (don't know spelling), and Hitsune something.
All I have to say is MGS, Jet Set Radio and Lego Batman will get my money. JSR didn't use the touchscreen or back touchpad from what I played even though I thought it would. MGS blew me away. Lego Batman 2 was better than I expected. In the demo, you can switch between 2 characters. These games looked really good, I didn't notice framerate issues during gameplay for what its worth.
As for the rhythm games, I guess I have no rhythm. The Hitsune game I had no clue what to do. After watching a video on youtube I realized the shapes matched what button I was suppose to hit. Boy do I feel dumb. I was hitting the screen as the shapes went over the other. Ogarythym I just needed more time with.
Yeah Persona 3 for PSP. Pretty much all the stuff you can do out of combat. Picking who I want to spend time with or what I want to do at night. That kinda stuff. Had never played a game that had that in it before like P3P does, seems pretty cool.
Thanks for the impressions. And it's Miku Hatsune, the vocaloid game that SEGA is thinking about bringing over. And that's good to hear about Lego Batman as I have it pre-ordered. It seems like it would be well suited to pick up and play sessions on the Vita.

I think Sony's real mistake was underestimating the gaming media's desire to sensationalize and blow things out of proportion.
You'll be in for a treat when Persona 4 Golden hits then. It's basically an improved P3P (minus a girl side).
Wait... it's a brand new game right ? (as in new story, enemies, similar format). Which girl is missing ?
GT still requires me to download via PS3 here in NA. Picked it up yesterday and it looks fantastic on Vita.Gentlemen, check your download history.
I've been able to download several ( not all ) games from the PSP Go promotion on my Vita.
Gran Turismo, Motorstorm, LBP, Avatar, Modnation Racers.
I couldn't download them before, but now it's possible.
Excellent news for me with GT and Motorstorm !
It's an upgraded port of an existing game (Persona 4). He means that it is a better port than the psp persona 3 port except that it does not have the choice of making the main character a girl which was a big thing added to the psp version of 3.
This video sure made me feel better

It was more important for Andrew "The Momentum Killer" House to talk for 25 minutes about Wonderbook and PS Suite.Crazy Sony thought this wasn't worth showing. They really thought setting aside 3 minutes for this wasn't worth it? Just showing this alone would had blunted a lot of criticism they are now facing.

Really don't want to see him at E3 ever again.
Never really thought of it that way. I just found it to be a weird fit in between Beyond, which had large amounts of swearing, and God of War/Last of Us' gore. Talk about not targetting an audience. That Wonderbook did kill the momentum of that conference.
Not sure if that tweet was a joke or not, because that 3ds presentation was horrid. What was new and exciting (that everyone didn't already know)? Threediots?? Between nothing and that garbage, well, nobody wins...

played a lot of vita today. not a lot of huge impressions, but they're something i guess.
i played gravity rush first, and i think the concept is cool, but i didn't actually do much except fly around and get a free shirt afterwards. i played munch's odyssey hd, twisted metal 2 on psone classics (apparently if the psone game didn't have analog support, then neither will these). i also played new little king's story, and it looks and acts just like the wii game. so if you're a vita owner and don't know about this one, i suggest you look it up.
i also played sly cooper: thieves in time. the segment i played was in a circus where sly was robin hood-themed. i could fire an arrow, and using the vita's motion control, guide it to the bullseye if i had initially shot it somewhat off-target. i assume the same works using the motion controls in the dual shock 3 on the ps3 version. the rest of it was platforming up this giant circus, firing arrows with ropes on them to tightrope through the place, and eventually reach a cutscene. i had fun with it, and hope the rest of the game turns out good. it was the only 3d platformer i played at the show, and i'll be keeping an eye on it when it comes out this year.
and then there's sound shapes. this is my game of the show. rayman legends had this great segment where you platform along to music, every jump coming at a beat, and the ropes correlating to guitar parts. sound shapes is like if they took that concept and just made a full game out of it. the game is more about the platforming that the music, and the game doesn't make the music based on the syncing of your platforming. however the more stuff you collect, the fuller the song becomes. the levels i played were very well designed, and the extremely simple look of the game works well in its favor. afterwards, i was shown how to use the editor, and the game actually has a small interactive tutorial anyway. a lot of it used the rear touch pads on the vita, and i thought it worked great, and probably a lot better than a ps3 controller would. this information is probably known, but you'll be able to get the ps3 and vita version together when the game launches, and it's going to go on sale for $14.99. i don't want to sound like i'm shilling for the game, but it's a pretty good price if there are a lot of challenging levels and the game lasts a while. it was one of the few games at the show i came back to later to try again.
Thanks for the impressions. Sly 4 for Vita looks really sharp graphics-wise in the hands-on videos I've seen. What were your thoughts on the graphics?
I'm looking forward to Retro City Rampage and Jet Set Radio... Although do you get both versions (PS3 and Vita) in just one price (say 9.99) for these games?
I do know Sound Shapes provides you both copies in one price.
