I'm glad you all like "the village" concept.

Also be sure to buy Ichi tomorrow! :D

Free codes!!! REVEAL WITH MAGIC QUOTE BUTTON.

Looks like Whale Trail was updated as a free to play game, so far the response doesn't seem too positive, going to give it a try though.

So apparently Magic the Gatherign: DotP 2013 is launching day-and-date (the 20th) on traditional platforms and iPad. It seems like the perfect type of game for the system, just without some of the visual effects that admittedly give the game some extra life. Anyone else hyped?

I recently asked Rio Grande Games about their Dominion app. Supposedly, they showed it off at Origins (which just happened a few days ago), but I can't find any records of it on the Internet at all.

They did say to expect the game to launch in a few weeks.

Get hyped, since this will quite obviously the greatest game on iOS. CAN'T WAIT!!

Boy, pretty much everything about this points to being a huge disappointment.

Go look over here ... Heel posted some stuff, from BGG I think.
iOS Online Boardgaming Megathread (Carcassone, Ascension, & Many More)

But it didn't sound like it was gonna be anywhere near a couple weeks away.

That's a huge thread, and I'm not even sure what I'm looking for. Did Heel get hands-on or something? Screenshots? Additional info?

I don't feel like going through. 30-odd pages if someone here just has the info.

It is the last couple of posts dude.

I know it's a bit old but I've been having tons of fun with Gravonaut. Super difficult but I'm still having a blast.

I don't really understand the levels, but I am on level 8 on the moon I think? Was playing it and came across a glitch I thought was funny. I got caught in a little corner and my death counter just started shooting up incredibly fast. As soon as I took a screen shot the level reset so that's as high as I saw it go.

Universal? Retina? Asynchronous? AI?

These are all questions that need answering before I'll even start to care about this app. I've stopped letting myself get hyped for iPad board/card games. Been burned too much and still only play Carc and Ascension as a result.

First they said 2011, then silence, then they said "in a few weeks" in february, then silence, then they said "shortly after origins" and now they'll start CLOSED BETA IN A FEW WEEKS. Meaning it's most likely not coming for another few months.

Again, like I said before, the game has the potential to easily be a nr1 hit, but goddamn does the publisher suck at PR.

You weren't before? ;)

I am 100% sure Mario searches GAF/the Internet for the term "pikpok" every 5 minutes as his fulltime job.

EDIT: Total War Battles now on sale for 4.99 instead of 6.99.. eh, still holding back, waiting for a better sale.

I feel kinda bad that I have three pikpoc games and haven't paid for any of them.

Toddler loves Monster Flip too :)
Monster Flip is indeed glorious, we love it, my mom loves it, your toddler loves it.

I have a bit of a hard time choosing games for my mother to pass the time as not everything clicks + she can't read English. It has to be simple enough but also provide a real and addictive challenge. She eventually finishes/gets bored of the games I suggest but Monster Flip is the one that's been lasting the longest.

I've recommended this on here before, nice to see someone else play it. An okay VVVVVV-like game.

So recently I've been seeing a shitload of indie 16-bit-style RPGs on iOS (ex: Zenobia, Fantastic Knight). Any of them actually good? Any of them not use virtual d pads? Any of them turn-based?

Mario, did they fix the game-breaking thing for MAMC that I PM'ed you about or no?

I passed that on but not sure whether it got addressed. Hard for me to stay in the loop on everything given the number of titles we have out there and in the works now.

Ichi has been released!

Ichi is an easy to play but challenging one button puzzle game. Don't be deceived by the game simplistic look, it’s a braintwister for sure! Collect golden rings by rotating objects, using teleporters, breaking blocks and more. If that isn’t enough, the game includes a level editor that allows you to create your own levels and share them with anyone around the globe!

And finally there is a trailer!

GET IT NOW!!!! WEEEEH

Ichi by Stolen Couch Games has launched in New Zealand, which means Europe & America can play it tomorrow. I'm so excited!

Stolen Couch Games would like to introduce you all to our next game codenamed "The Village". It's a animal crossing, harvest moon, Zelda Side-quest type of game. The game features a real world 24 hour clock and will feature a very nice art style. More info on our BLOG.

God this looks AWESOME.

Have you played Mage Gauntlet yet? It's an awesome game, not turn based though.

The Village looks promising. Anyone try out any new game releases tonight? Catapult King looks cool.
I bit the bullet and downloaded it - it's pretty damn fun. It can be hard to get the hang of, but once you can judge where the ball is gonna land it's pretty cool.

What happened to that Zelda: A Link to the Past inspired RPG? I haven't heard about it or I just missed it. Is it out? Any good?

The Kemco RPGs are terribad, the Korean action RPGs are terribad... honestly not much selection. Try Guardian Saga and Dragon Fantasy. Ash is good too, but not really "16-bit"

This sounds a bit stupid, but how do you fellows keep track of games that are released new every day? Is there a simple website for it? Or do you use the App store?

I'm confused :D

Toucharcade has an app that is very effective at doing this.

Just don't trust the reviews. They are almost always too positive.
