Gonna be on a transcontinental flight right now... Will have more than enough time to beat all Gauge records. But how does it work when you're not connected? Do scores get updated later or will those high-scores not come through?

Pandemic Inc. is pretty sweet. I took the advice of someone on here and focused on my transmission methods before I ratchet up the severity for bacteria.

Playing as a virus was a lot more fun...the virus itself did all the mutating to make itself lethal, which allowed me to focus all my DNA on transmission and resistance. I believe there's an ability in there specific for viruses that enhances it's ability to mutate and I cranked this early.

Fungus claims it's harder to spread, but there is also an ability that allows you to shoot out spore clouds and infect other countries (seemingly regardless of location)...and the final one that grouping hits like 5-8 countries. Seems like it'd be a good strategy to make the severity high and keep it really localized somewhere in like Africa...then when you've got yourself something crazy you pop like 60 DNA points on spore clouds and suddenly 1/3 of the globe is impacted by it overnight and you ratchet up the transmission of it. The cure should be hardly progressed at all since you kept it so local...going to have to try that!

OK, so now that I'm through the initial warm-up of Galaxy on Fire 2, I can honestly say this is one of the best iOS games I've ever played.

is plague inc just a paid version of pandemic or is there more to it?

Well, Pandemic on iOS isn't free, but yeah, it's a beefed up version of Pandemic. Tried 'em both, and I simply can't play Pandemic 2.5 after playing Plague Inc. Everything about the game is better -- everything.

Yeah, I'm still going strong with it. It's a surprisingly big effort for an iOS game.

Neat. Scribblenauts just got an update with a season pass for all current and future DLC. I usually hate the idea of season passes but this one is only 99c -- the same price the current DLC was selling for.

Was also glad to read that if you'd already bought DLC, they give you the rest for free. Nice.

Again. But yay! Great chance for those that didn't get it before. Is it a part of any particular sale or for any real reason?

Loststar Tactics just went on sale for 99 cents for those who wanted Ascension and X-com to make a baby and get a deal on it 'cause babyies be crazy expensive and Ascension needs to take a part time job 3 card Monty while X-com whores itself to whatever platform will have her IP and we all know what the P stands for...um what? Right...sale.

All my Bulky Pix games, including Autumn Dynasty have ads. Anyone else notice this? Those turds...

I saw this addressed by the dev on Toucharcade.

Thanks Tebius and Soldat7 for helping us explain this!

Dream, Kin and Marcus70, we're really sorry about the ads, and we've spoken to Bulkypix, and they've let us remove the ads in the latest 1.2 patch (along with the other feature requests like zoom and novice difficulty). This patch has been waiting for approval from Apple for more than a week, so it should be arriving any day now.

Bulkypix uses Bulkychannel as their main cross promotion tool: technically, the ads are shared between all games in order to drive visibility (sort of like being in an advertising ring).

We don't earn anything from this at all, plus the Bulkychannel was a hassle to insert and totally out of sync with our art style. We thought the ad ring thing might help with visibility, but on hindsight, I think this was one of our worst choices. I just hope the new patch comes out soon, so that the ads will be gone for good.

My apologies again!

At least a fix is coming. It's too great a game to be ruined by crap like this.

Hey, I grabbed JPJRJRL4FHE7. Thanks for the codes. I'll leave my thoughts! :)

E: OK, Finished the first 10 levels. So far, I REALLY enjoy it! I only have one complaint...After closing the add following the 1st level, some weird helicopter/chopper noise wouldn't stop playing. It was the bouncing sound effect of the ball. It just kept playing over and over and over.... X____X Slightly annoying, but it went away after I finished 2 or 3 more levels. Just odd. But the game is definitely solid!

Just released Little Things Forever this week. On sale for $0.99
http://itunes.apple.com/app/little-things-forever/id520762327

And I just dropped the original Little Things to free.
http://itunes.apple.com/app/little-things/id382821388

Enjoy :)
Just bought because it's the first time I'll actually be able to play it. iPhone-only here.

It'd better be good.

;)

The free-to-play update to Whale Trail basically destroys the endless mode. Now you have to save up Krill to unlock higher multipliers and extra lives and stuff, making all your high scores completely pointless.

Also, it's not even free.

Man the abysmal E3 conferences make me happy to have iOS gaming in my life.

Makes me think about Mac gaming too-I have an iMac that's about 4 years old-I wish Apple made a Mac between the iMac and Mac Pro. I'd want a Mac that allows me to swap out the video card and Ram-but I don't want to have to buy a monitor everytime I get a new iMac...

Sucks-they should just make a Mac Pro Mini for gaming people.

I saw this too. The Krill is nice to that you can buy "respawns" and multipliers-

BUT

They basically gimp you in this new update and you have to grind your way to get the game the way it was prior to the update-now one hit from a cloud basically kills you, and your Frenzy meter lasts about 4 seconds until you put in enough Krill to upgrade it "back to normal"

This E3 is so abysmal, it makes me wish Apple had a conference. They would legitimately blow everyone else away.

Lol. I love iOS, but comparing the experience to consoles/PC is a bit silly to me. Apples and oranges. iOS is still just cell phone games. Greatly improved from past cell phone gaming , but still just a distraction in my pocket. There are a few exceptions, but generally ios games lack depth.

Talk about hyperbole. I have tons of iOS games but in no way do they even compare to consoles/PC. I'd easily give up the former for the latter, given the choice.
