I'd probably buy that if it didn't have the Jeff drawing and and that "King of the Everglades" was quoted underneath Roscoe's name, instead of that being quoted. I find Big Jeffrey more hilarious as a name to draw my own sordid conclusions, I think.

Spelunky looks cool, but I finally picked up the Binding of Isaac recently and I feel like that's enough roguelike for me. Platforming isn't really my jam, I guess.
Imagine a Breaking Brad series where he aims to get Platinum God.
Between that and his words on Amazing Spider-Man and Spec Ops, I laughed when he said 'I like to have fun' during the Spelunky quick look because he sure doesn't seem like it lately.

I think it might have sold me on the game. The nostalgia hit way too hard on bits of that.

Why? Both those games aren't really stellar examples of fun gameplay, Spec Ops especially.
I haven't seen any gameplay of Spec-Ops (I do know how twitter and the bombcast he gave certain aspects their props), but Spiderman looks completely mediocre. What are you on about?
I feel like people at this point so desperately want to paint Jeff as jaded they'll rush to the defense of really dull games just to do it. Like people were going "I cant believe Jeff is down on Inversion, hes so jaded!" not too long ago. Did they watch a different QL of Inversion or something because that game looked pretty rank.
He was also pretty down on Binary Domain and seemed like he just wanted to make fun of it and not take it seriously at all until Vinny played it. There's a difference between 'I don't much care for' and acting like something's a complete hassle to play, but I forgot that I'm not allowed to say anything negative about Jeff.
I think you're overreading Jeff's thoughts on BD and overreacting to my post.
By all means critique Jeff, I think he was a downer in the Theatrythmn QL myself. But if you're going to say you laughed at him because he didnt have fun with bunk mediocre games then I think its fair for me to go "Thats kind of unreasonable"
