The Giant Bomb Quick Look Thread 2

Just started watching the Theatrhythem (what a dumb name) and the music is making me nostalgia really fucking hard. If I had a 3DS I'd get.
 
I would never play either of the last two games, but they're perfect QL material. The guy's consistent consternation for Final Fantasy is, as always, disappointing. I don't really get why Brad was so down on the later games, despite seemingly liking XIII.

I wonder what the non-mainline games featured in the game are, I think I even saw the Saga Frontier logo at one point in the video.

I'm disappointed there doesn't appear to be all that much theatre on display, I was under the impression it was as if being shown the games via theatre productions and your actions impacting the performance, but alas.

EDIT: There's a Versus track for DLC, slick.

It was probably just one of the older Final Fantasys, back when the logo was quite different.

Mention Final Fantasy anywhere on the internet and you will get a 100 page debate about how your favorite Final Fantasy is the best and the others are all shit.* Even Brad is getting into it.

The game definitely gets hard as shit, way beyond the last song in the QL. Some of the dark notes are dark.
 
Balthier simply proved too suave for the SE artists to manage rendering him in cute-o-vision. The team barely made it out alive when they pixeled up his WotLs sprite. It was a bloodbath.

They released too many last friday. They need to pull a Disney and start locking old ones away in "the vault" to generate interest.

Spelunky QL was amazing. Brad, you were doing WAY better than I ever would have managed. Game looks heart attack inducing. Geez.
The multi looked like a blast (har), and something that would be really fun to play with people in the same room.
 
Well, there is a QL scheduled for tomorrow.

No idea what that is. Probably some random PC game.
 
That FF Theatrhythm, or whatever you call it, QL sold me on the game. Also, kudos to Brad for being able to talk while playing a rhythm game.
 
Between the quick look and Patrick mentioning it on the bombcast, I am now thinking about how awesome iPad theatrhythm would be. I plan on getting a 3DS XL and getting that, but GOD that really does sound awesome to use the screen rather than a stylus and having that retina display

Not looking forward to this one. I assume we'll get to hear more dumb things about light gun games, motion controls and the Wii, along with some complete ignoring of the game's scoring system and then a complaint that there's not much to it.
 
I don't understand why they don't calibrate/setup multiple controllers before they record? That shit is rarely entertaining, why the hell would be want to see it?
