Also, this likely means that CollectorGAF could be one step closer to having some new Sailor Moon figures to look forward to. They haven't made any in 10 or 12 years because of licensing issues, and the old ones routinely run US$300 and much more.

That's per figure, so the original 5 girls would set you back at least US$1,500 when it should be about a third of that at most.

With that said, it could have been a lot better. Hopefully they manage to get some better dubs though. I also watched it on Toonami like everyone else, waiting to see the other stuff of course.

I can virtually guarantee you they won't be dubbing Sailor Moon in Toronto again.

Los Angeles would seem the most likely but I'd like to see what Vancouver would do with it seeing the success they've had owning the voicework for many other girl-focused franchises (My Little Pony, Barbie, Disney's Fairy line, Strawberry Shortcake, etc.) in recent years. Clearly a lot depends on who lands the license.

If they're doing this, I think they'll have every interest in going international with it. The only reason why the Blu-Ray re releases and the remastered DVD's were never sold here was due to Takeuchi-san pretty much blocking the american publishing rights after the Saban fiasco. If Madoka can make here it, Sailor Moon certainly can.

It's not like it's gonna be on TV or anything...unless Hasbro gets the rights.

Sure, the two can coexist. If anything, a new Sailor Moon is more likely to replace Saint Seiya Omega than Precure. Toei likes money too much to stop a huge cash cow in its tracks in favor of something that's unproven with today's kids, and an interruption could have a permanent negative impact on Precure's mindshare among its demographic. Best case scenario, we get double the mahou shoujos in 2013 and double the plastic shit peddling.

I did a rewatch last year but was a bit disappointed. It's still funny but not as interesting or clever as I remembered it.

There were some hilarious episodes though.

Remember when everyone except Minako got sick?
Remember when Chibi Usa saw the 'elephant' in the park?
Sailor Chibi Moon using Pink Sugar Heart Attack on a Daimon's ass while tip toeing forward?
Chibi Chibi trying to disrobe someone in a bath towel?

Some great lulzy moments were in the series.

The filler in Sailor Moon S was literally the show at its absolute best (although some of the SuperS filler was just plain wacky in a good way so long as it didn't revolve around the horse/pegasus/MLP ripoff).
