Yeah I was really hoping Flocker or another Zero player with 1 touch kills into unblockable incoming mixups that end the game before someone gets to play would win.

I have no idea how people can say he is the best. Almost lost to Combofiend, he almost lost to Chris G but clutched, he clutched his victory here. Fuck that noise. Still, so much hype, so many great matches.

The truth is that nobody is great at UMvC3 on the level of Bala or MadKOF in KOF XIII for example. Even the SFIV players are more solid at their own game than UMvC3 players. No freaking way would Infrit even make it that close against Daigo in AE for example. Look at the AE players in the top 8 and it's all guys who absolutely master their characters and hardly do mistakes.

UMvC3 was full of mistakes and strange decisions.

I would be salty as fuck in his position. But champ won through and he didn't even need to depend on his Phoenix. I wanted Chris to pull through today but there's no denying champ was the best player in a set of matches that pushes him to the Limit. Champ's win and Bala's loss were amazing stories. If AE meets those expectations then this will be the best Evo I've ever seen.

I agree, I have no doubt that AE will be incredibly hype and just a blast like UMVC3 was.
