I'm guessing he switched from Dark Hole to Liberation. The latter supports one of his combos that he didn't use at all, so yeah, it didn't matter. People are simply trying to find a reason why champ doesn't deserve the win.

As for Marvel, I didn't want Champ to win but am happy with what I saw. He won yes, but he has to go to sleep at night knowing that both Infrit and ChrisG had him beat and could have eliminated him if they hadn't made some bad mistakes.

What are the actual rules on that anyway? It's not like you're locked into only 1 team/assist combo the whole tournament, so depending on when he switched it I don't really have a problem with it as long as the other player was aware it was done even if it was technically not allowed. Can't you change character/order/assists between matches?

You are ONLY allowed to change if you lost. You are locked on characters, order, and assists if you win. Whether or not it affected the outcome of the match, rules are rules. But the rules also state that you have to notify someone otherwise it doesn't matter.

Yeah I was expecting this to be wrapping up around now. Debating if I'm going to stay up for SF4 or not, thinking probably not at this point. Might depend on who is commentating.

I believe this is correct (he made a swap from Liberation to Dark Hole) but I thought this was allowed for some reason. The EVO page states you can't change assists but you can change order.

Doesn't matter though since there is no post-game enforcement for things like this.
