He was called a fraud by Marn just after winning EVO 2011 (and probably a ton more players who kept their mouths shut) . To be fair, the guy wasn't relevant for close to 10 years before he started to play MvC3 so there was definitively factors for having doubt over his victory. The dude was known for screwing up a lot of combos/opportunities and choking on the level of ChrisG or perhaps even worse.

The 3 players that took games off Champ (Infrit, Combofiend, and Chris G) Champ's Phoenix got bopped with the exception of vs. Combofiend in the last round.

the bigger problem is doom. all that meterless damage and ridiculous amounts of meter gain, plus one of the best assists in the game, plus backup xf3 anchor if phoenix dies.
