I enjoyed the commentary quite a bit. It was lively and informative.
I wasn't a no-show. They moved me to a different bracket so that I could do commentary on SCV that day. I ended going 3-2. Not bad, considering the people who beat me were LA Akira and a Taka user who ended up beating LA Akira.
Anyway, Evo was awesome. Best gaming event of the year. If you don't go, you suck.
Really dug the VF5 finals, even though the results were expected. Shironuko's El Blaze is fucking sick, but Fuudo's just too damn smart. You cannot throw that guy!
I haven't seen the vids yet, but I've heard from everyone that Shidosha and LA Akira did a fantastic job on commentary and did a good job selling the game to viewers. Excellent work, gentlemen.
KOF finals were fucking terrific. Mad KOF's Duo Lon was absolutely exhilarating to watch, and I am definitely picking up KOF13 again with a renewed fervor. Marvel 3 might be kinda shitty, but it was a ton of fun to watch the top 8, and the most deserving player won it all. Good shit, FChamp.
Also, it's time to sober up and admit Japan's not the best at SSF4 anymore. #shotsfired
Was great meeting up with God's Beard and vulva. I had planned to go to the Evo GAF meetup, but I was drained from doing commentary and not eating for the entire day and couldn't bear to wait another 2+ hours. Next time, I promise.
