I personally hate using ratings for film, games, music, etc. The writing should speak for itself, and the numbers/stars usually just detract/color the perception of the actual review. Too many damn people scroll to the bottom, see the number and go about their day, not actually reading why someone feels this way about the product in question.

But, it is what it is.

But what about the spoilers mang? I'd rather have a quick and dirty rating than risk seeing spoilers.

I get that, but when I read reviews, I wanna know what that person thinks about the product. "it's good, 5/5!" or "sucks ass, holy fuck 1/5" doesn't really tell me anything.

WPTZ.com with fan reactions from screening they saw

Fans that saw the movie Sunday night all gave the film rave reviews.

Johnny Mendez said, "It was intense. It was a really dark film but some of the themes that they were covering were just unbelievable."

Jason Borges said he's anticipating this day for quite some time, "I thought it was absolutely phenomenal. We've been waiting four years for it and this one did not disappoint. It was better than I could have expected, the action was great, the storyline was like the perfect resolution."

Cyndy Golonka said she thought the movie was a little too action-packed for youngsters, but great for teens and adults. Her favorite part was the ending -- which she refused to ruin.

Does that one guy write every movie review for Canada? I've seen it pop up on like 8 different Canadian news sites now. lol

He writes for Sun Media which is owned by Sun Corp AKA Rupert Murdoch companies, they have like 20 papers in Canada so every single one will have the same review

How did fans get to see the movie early?

COLCHESTER, Vt. - At $100 a pop, the neon bracelets handed out at the Majestic 10 Cinemas Sunday didn't grant admission to any old theater.

About 300 flocked to the theaters in Williston for a special screening of the newest Batman movie, complete with a multitude of bat decorations.

The public can't feast their eyes on "The Dark Knight Rises" for another few days.

"It's just so awesome. It's been a part of me since the first one came out in 2005 and the fact that I could get a chance to see this in Vermont, that's awesome," said Cody McGlashan, who got to the theater about 2 hours before showtime.

McGlashan and other super fans actually got to see this Batman preview ahead of Monday's "world premiere" in New York City -- in part thanks to Senator Patrick Leahy, who landed himself a role in this movie.

"I'm such a tiny tiny bit of it, but I'm still very excited," said Leahy.

The advanced screening doubled as a fundraiser for causes near to Leahy's heart -- both the Echo Center in Burlington and the Kellogg Hubbard Library in Montpelier.

Leahy will be donating all his royalties there too.

"If money from this will make it more possible for more children to read, then I'm glad I had the opportunity," said Leahy, who has now made four cameos in Batman flicks.

The Batman fan joked about his role in this movie.

Again, are we sure we're not in denial over that review?

He liked the movie. He doesn't tear into it negatively or anything. It's a very thin on substance review that is pretty much a plot synopsis with random points like "no joker" and "action good" thrown in. It also seemingly ruins the ending. So don't read it.

Aw sweet. Is that the same Senator that guest starred in The Dark Knight?

OK, so TDKR mediocre film confirmed? Fuck.

meanwhile a review of the Score

http://www.filmtracks.com/titles/dark_knight_rises.html

2/5

Buy it... if you've bought into the hyped notion that Hans Zimmer's music for the prior two films in this franchise is the work of a genius, in which case you'll enjoy much more of the same in this third entry.

Avoid it... if you expect Zimmer to deliver on his promises, because what little new material he brings to the table here is obscured by the stagnant brooding, pounded rhythms, and simplistic themes that define all of these scores.

Perfect

I heard he is an extra for all the movies. Extras don't always have speeking roles

I get that, but I can't find anything that says he cameos in all the films.

Edit: Found this on his wiki page
A big fan of Batman comics, Leahy lent his voice in the Batman: The Animated Series episode "Showdown" as the Governor of the Utah territory. He appears in cameo roles in the 1997 film Batman and Robin, in the 2008 film The Dark Knight[18] and the upcoming film The Dark Knight Rises .[19]
