The Hobbit will be 100% RT, right guys?

Peter Jackson's last film:

I still haven't seen the LOTR films

They gutted the book, making an action movie for 15-25 year olds. And it seems that The Hobbit will be of the same ilk. Tolkien became...devoured by his popularity and absorbed by the absurdity of the time. The gap widened between the beauty, the seriousness of the work, and what it has become is beyond me. This level of marketing reduces to nothing the aesthetic and philosophical significance of this work

Gaf should have an option backwards to that of blocking people, what if you can make it so you can only see the posts of people you personally choose? Then people can avoid spoilers by just listing people they know.

But then I'd only be talking to myself!

Me neither. Actually, that's not entirely true. I flipped through the channels and accidentally landed on some white bearded guy talking for what seemed like centuries. Then I changed the channel.

I'm not sure if that's worse.

The plagiarism gives this post a bit of an edge...I guess. 6/10

Oh, you.

That's not true entirely

I DID see the first LOTR movie IN THEATERS.

...and guess what?

I don't remember a THING about it.

I honest to god don't know why I don't remember anything about it. I just don't, maybe I wasn't paying attention.

If I told movie gaf half the movies I haven't seen I'm sure they'd eat me alive. Mods would ban me on merit alone.

Welp, I'm doing the marathon with a coworker. The theater serves alcohol as well, so I'm gonna get smashed during Begins and TDK. 6-2 am. Let's do this Nolan and Bale. Don't fuck this up.

Did you copy and paste that from somewhere else? It seems like a standard response from wikipedia or something.

I've made a purposeful effort to catch up on a lot of older movies these past few years. It's been worth it.

Hobbit still my most anticipated film this year.

I can't believe I let my hype for it waver in the face of Prometheus. Yikes.

I'm not worthy, PJ.

Is anyone else still mad that Del Toro isn't directing The Hobbit? Pisses me off every time I think about that movie.

I'm not mad, because I think most will agree that Peter Jackson did a pretty decent job on those LotR films, but I'm still a bit curious.

Oh well, more time for Del Toro to focus on Pacific Rim and Hellboy 3(hopefully)

Apparently Del Toro is once again considering At The Mountains of Madness. He's said he's finally going to watch Prometheus next week and make up his mind after that.
