Just watched it.

Yeah, I dunno but I kinda liked it a bit more than TDK for some reason, but that's definitely just me. I know a few who prefer TDK over TDKR.

But I am one of those guys who liked TDK more than BB. It seems many people in this thread likes BB more than TDK.
I like TDK more than BB too and so do a lot of people. Its just on GAF, there is a lot of hate for TDK that makes BB come out as a better movie between the two.

Exactly what I meant. None exists.
Aye, if you say so.

You should have been around The Raid discussions when that review came out. That was fun times.
I'm glad to have missed that meltdown.

Midnighters should report if they see the Man of Steel trailer. I bet WB waits til Monday to release it.

Yep. That was it. Finally got me to install Chrome which I've been procrastinating doing since I reformatted my computer. Site looks great in Chrome. Totally fucked in IE 9.

OK, phew. Glad to hear you can view properly. Yeah, IE had been a bitch to sync up correctly, working on it!

People really liked BB that much? I thought it had some awful pacing.

People like that it has more focus on character stuff, you don't see Batman in costume until halfway through the movie and most of it revolves around his psychological aspects/motivations. It completely revolves around why Batman does what he does, how he trained and became who he was etc. It's just a really rewarding experience if you're a fan of him. Dark Knight is a lot of fun but there's nothing like that in it.

The first hour is the best edited/paced hour of the trilogy thusfar.
I used to think that. Watched it again last night. While it mostly holds up ( the first half) the pacing is too quick sometimes. Characters spit out lines so quickly, there's literally no seeming belief behind them. Just, "spit it out", "cut". Move on to the next thing.

And is it just me, or was Gordon's superior, black guy who becomes commissioner kind of a dick to him in every scene? Looks like an asshole.

he most definitely was an asshole, throughout the entire film

IM GLAD HE DIED LOL

They did it with the TDKR trailers (at least the first one, IIRC). This is their next big film, won't be a surprise if they do.

Really? Surely they know what a big audience they'll have opening weekend and not do something as spectacularly stupid as that. With TDKR, they still had the good will of TDK to ride off of, but with Man of Steel people will probably think it's in the same continuity as the Superman Returns film, which is a mindset WB can't afford to have exist.

Because he's a moralistic asshole and always has been, look at his reviews of slasher movies, he's like Tipper Gore.

I always knew he was sensitive to violence, especially against women (I am myself to a degree), but I thought those kind of criticisms were reserved for the like of I Spit on Your Grave or Human Centipede.

Jesus, I can't believe I live in a world where Roger Ebert thinks Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is a better movie than The Raid.
