A little over 3 hours to go.

Dammit, GAF Hype. I love Nolan's Batman films, but I had completely forgotten TDKR comes out tonight until about three days ago. Now I'm excited as all hell for this.

Gonna be heading to the theater at 10pm.

I don't have a batman shirt, but I do have a superman shirt. Does that count?

I've never stood in a line longer than an hour, and that was for a music festival. Longer than 30 at a film or a roller coaster and that can eat my penis

I could have sworn that was in one of the trailers, sorry, my bad. Honest mistake.

honestly, I could have/would have made a similar mistake. I can see why people wouldn't want to know it, but it really is a kind of fundamental part of the movie.

While I feel it's completly batty why anyone would put his opinion of visual entertainment above anyone with 2 working eyeballs.

But that's probably my own batty opinion.

I really don't care about anyone's opinion on movies here. I don't even have a favorite critic. I like what I like!

So fuck you Hook haters. And fuck you Temple of Doom haters!

I'm very happy to see someone else likes Hook. I think I can blame it on nostalgia, but that doesn't lessen my enjoyment of it.

Also: It is hard not to click on the spoilers topic when the two are right on top of each other.

Skyfall does!

I love Hook. Rather than going for a realistic Peter Pan, which didn't appeal to me when they did years later, they used one of my favorite actors in a twist and had a lot of great scenes.

That to me is fucking ludicrous. 6 fucking hours. So basically by the time you've seen the movie, youll have been at the theatre 10 hours. FUCK. THAT.

I stood in line for like four when TDK was released.

Crazy yanks.

If all of those theatres are sold out, it means those people have prepurchased their tickets. What's the point of standing in line?

You have a ticket but not a seat. Plus it's an event. Local news is here. People are dressed up. Some of the food places around here are having specials for dinner. Everyone is standing around having a blast.

I absolutely loved Hook when I was a kid. Afraid I can't say the same these days.

Yamato I understand you don't have a seat, thats what I meant with my comment. Really hate the American policy of no reserved seating.

I look at the Ruffio thing as a meme more than nostalgia. But I liked Hoffman, Williams, MFing Bob Hoskins.

And Fucking Tootles and his marbles. He ain't too old to lose his marbles, dammit!

All the best for your screenings guys! You will love this film. Well, most of you will lol.

I actually wouldn't have minded standing in line. Maybe for two hours max. There's nothing like waiting for something with hundreds of people you know are equally excited, and be able to start a conversation with anyone just by saying "Batman", whether it's for a concert or video game or movie or whatever.

GAF, I'm considering seeing it again today. I'm torn.

One one hand I feel like a second viewing will help cement my opinion on the film in my mind. Yet on the other hand I remember my problems with the film and am not sure I want to sit through that again.

I could see it in a couple hours from now.

Unless your theatre's crowd is generally shit, matinees suck for an event film. There's something titillating about being part of an enthralled audience. Also, having the rest of the day ahead of me after the movie means I'll have things on my mind while I'm watching it.

Do it because I know you'll come out and say its the film that Kubrick always wanted to make but never achieved.

I have never stood in line for a movie. Like I said before, never have done a release week movie before.

Aside from 4-5 movies a year that I feel compelled to see day one/weekend one, I am the same. Most other movies I tend to see 1-2 weeks post release, and I find it works wonderfully. Skyfall will probably be my only other day one movie this year. Django would be if it weren't fucking releasing on Christmas Day.
