I thought there were trailers such as Skyfall attached to this movie.
The poster feels like a series of contradictions - verbose and long yet rushed, deeply logical yet utterly silly, politically minded yet ultimately vapid - that being both a wildly entertaining and a bad poster would be exactly right for him.
I give Solo a Farci/10.

He's not saying the TDK trilogy isn't a trilogy but you should still look at them like distinct works since it wasn't planned from the outset. The Dollars trilogy wasn't either, but Solo is saying that is superior.

I kind of like that it wasn't planned as a trilogy. It gives each film more of a chance to be a standalone work, different in tone and theme and with a complete narrative (no BS cliffhangers). We definitely got that with this trilogy.

I agree. It's actually a plus IMO. The Matrix did it wrong. Started with a standalone film and then tried to force the next two films together to make the whole thing look like a trilogy. This approach is better.
They did tease the Joker after Begins though. I guess that would depend if the film got picked up or not.

Yeah, I really don't like the "standalone film + two sequels filmed back to back = trilogy" thing. So often they try to shoehorn in the most gratuitious "you that thing from movie-one that was kind of mentioned but not really. Rather than being a cool bit of implied backstory or flavour, it's now SUPER IMPORTANT". Pirates of the Caribbean syndrome.

Agreed. Make a good enough standalone film and we'll ask for more. Much better than the "Hey guys, hold all these unresolved plot threads for me!" approach of Prometheus and Amazing Spider-Man.
