Clever girl.......

Dollars Trilogy is still far and away the best trilogy ever, and don't give me that "it's not a real trilogy!" bullshit.

But it isn't. This is three completely separate films that just happen to carry over characters and arcs. But they were all planned and executed as individual entities. This wasn't one of these ones where they come out of the gate saying they have a trilogy planned.

So it only makes sense to view them not as a body of work, but as three distinct entities.

I see.

imax showings

Please be aware - this it the longest film ever run through an IMAX film projector - we are at the very edge of the platter. There are NO trailers in front of the film, so please be on time and in your seat so that you don't miss a second!

Save money? I dont have to pay the second time probably if Im going with my moms and sis hah...

Still debating wether to see it today alone and again tomorrow :P

Where is this from?

I wonder if the Bond trailer is only on Liemax? Has anyone brought up the Bond trailer?

If it's free, you can do what you like. I always recommend people not pay for seeing a movie multiple times in quick succession.

I kind of like that it wasn't planned as a trilogy. It gives each film more of a chance to be a standalone work, different in tone and theme and with a complete narrative (no BS cliffhangers). We definitely got that with this trilogy.

I agree. It's actually a plus IMO. The Matrix did it wrong. Started with a standalone film and then tried to force the next two films together to make the whole thing look like a trilogy. This approach is better.

Yeah, I really don't like the "standalone film + two sequels filmed back to back = trilogy" thing. So often they try to shoehorn in the most gratuitious "you that thing from movie-one that was kind of mentioned but not really. Rather than being a cool bit of implied backstory or flavour, it's now SUPER IMPORTANT". Pirates of the Caribbean syndrome.

HOLY SHIT, amazing movie. The soundtrack is just sublime. I'll echo the thoughts in the thread that it wasn't perfect, it was somewhat uneven, but goddamn, this was one fantastic ride and a great end to the trilogy.

No hobbit trailer, no skyfall trailer. I guess I am going to have to give MORE money to nolan and see trailers
oh well.

Avatar was okay but filming 2 or 3 sequels back to back? C'mon, thats a snore, imo.

Agreed. Make a good enough standalone film and we'll ask for more. Much better than the "Hey guys, hold all these unresolved plot threads for me!" approach of Prometheus and Amazing Spider-Man.
