Man, I loved the Rhas scene so much. So why did they have to end it with TV-level disappearing effects and a "look, he's a ghost you dummies!" anvil drop?

:_(

They could have just done a cut away, then the next time Bruce looks, he's gone.

Nolan can be a little too obvious sometimes. Well, most of the time.

Even though I enjoyed a lot of the fan service of the film, the "his real name is Robin" thing felt kinda cheesy. But then again him just being Richard Grayson wouldn't have worked because the general audience doesn't know who that is.

I thought they were going to go with Jean Paul.

Anyone else tired of comic book films?

Every freaking summer.

The older i get the more i hate summer blockbusters. They never really fair well at awards neither.Popcorn flicks are starting to piss me off.

To some extent I am. But I just avoid the ones I don't give a shit about, like Fantastic Four, Green Lantern, Thor, Ghost Rider, or the ones based on fringe graphic novels I know nothing about. And from here on out I'm done with the Spider-Man film universe.

But there was zero information that would make him think that Ra's was Bane's father. At that point, all he knew was that Bane was in the LoS.

with all the info on Bane being in the prison (mercenary/LOS) and being born from the darkness and what not, when Bruce finally got a big chunk of the story from the inmates about a child who had no fear and climbed out of the pit, he assumed that they were one in the same.

Guys I don't understand... how did Bruce manage to keep his beard so well trimmed in the eight years since TDK...he never left his room so how did he manage to look so neat? Also didn't he smell...we never saw him bathe....how could Talia stand to sleep with him?

But thats obvious.

This is a 90 pound female beating the shit out of skilled men WTF.How did she get so good.Practice?lol.Doesnt make sense.

Backstory would have done nicely

I was so wrong to have doubted Anne Hathaway, and Bane, way back in the beginning.

SO WRONG!!!!!

Did anyone else find the mixing done on bane's voice to be distracting? Almost like it was too loud and/or too clear. It was hard for me to get over through the whole movie.

The sound mixing on Bane was completely off. It felt like he was always speaking directly into a microphone even when he was far away from the camera. Bane was so much louder than every other character when it should've been the opposite (his voice being muffled due to the mask).

I understand why they did it, but it kind of stuck out to me.

WB needs to go in a completely fresh direction now. Trying to mimic the Nolan movies without Nolan will only result in epic failure. Go in the opposite direction. Let's go more fantastical, more visual, more lively.

A couple of moments left me with a "he dumbed that down" feeling (making JGL's name Robin to spell it out for people).

I thought that was Nolan's clever nod to Batman fans. Blake's embarrassed by the name, just as the fans are embarrassed by the character of Robin, but everyone wants to embrace him as part of the Batman story. Nolan figured out a way to make him an un-campy, non-embarrassing hero for us to take seriously in this story's universe.

Really, dude. Even I agree with you that this movie is pretty rotten, but you don't know what you're arguing about. Just stop. You're making matters worse.

I understand why he connected that child to Bane. What I don't understand is why he would think that child was Ra's' child.

Get some Gothic art deco Gotham and Clayface up in this bitch

No. Then you get a shitty villain, a terrible story, and dopey characters....Like the Avengers

Do you really need to see Selena Kyle flashbacks to Tae Kwon Do lessons and shit? In a movie that's long enough as it is? You just can't accept her physical prowess at face value? Even if there was a backstory, it wouldn't change ANYTHING about her present stature.

Maybe the worst BatGaf junior yet

I thought he was louder because his mask had a microphone in it. That could be something I made up though.

Saw this movie twice in the same day! Whew! The IMAX showing was spectacular! I love the fights between Bane and Batman. You could feel Batman getting his shit wrecked. I really loved at the end when Bane went into berserk mode. Some great fighting there. This trilogy turned out really well.

Yeah I said in an earlier post my gut reaction at the time was negative, that it was dumbed down just because no one would know who Dick Grayson or any of the Robins were. But thinking it over I actually love the symbolic nature of him using that name because JGL wasn't a specifc Robin at all.

I got forced to go see the green Lateran on opening day.wow.

horrible film

Just go full on BTAS on it. I know the Burton films had some of that fantastical style, but go more art-deco, less gothic.

Or Batman Beyond.

So you really want whoever comes next to keep making sombre, morose Batman movies? Don't get me wrong, it worked wonderfully for Nolan, but that was Nolan. New director, new vision, new direction please.

I agree but isn't Nolan going to "help". I want him off them completely. No offense to anyone.

I'd like to see them create a middle ground. In the sense where they keep it fairly grounded, but include the more fantastical elements of Batman lore. I'd LOVE to see Mr. Freeze done right, like a live action version of the Heart of Ice episode from Batman TAS.

Not anymore. He's just on working on Superman, and nothing else.

Really what more did you need the catwoman backstory? I thought it was pretty clear who her character was and, for the most part, what she wanted.

Got to give you props for giving a calm, respectful response. I got the impression her past was supposed to have an air of mystery to it. It would have ruined that a bit to get too in-depth I think.

Bring on the live action Brave and the Bold movie!

Because Bruce Wayne IS Batman for the masses. John "Robin" Blake is not.

Also, Nolan and everyone involved in these films are done. JGL is in Nolan's inner circle now, and won't do a Batman movie without him.

I guess. Also my interpretation of the ending was that Bruce didn't quit being Batman. If so, why continue to hide Batman's real identity after his "death"

Batman Beyond to me is a really intriguing idea. But how do you do that as a film? Do you spend half the movie developing Bruce as Batman, then have a major timejump, then spend the second half developing Terry? Or just jump out of the gates with Terry?
