Don't know if this was brought up already (I'm not reading the last 40 pages), but two small things I liked that most might just not pay attention to...

1. Batman and Catwoman fighting on the rooftop and Batman knocks the gun out of her hand then says, "No guns, no killing". I just really like that he stated it so firmly to her.

2. When Bruce was trying out the knee brace, his backwards/sideways kick where he breaks the brick wall was like a total 1 for 1 shot of him doing that to the tree trunk in Year One.

I agree, that was one of my favorite lines from batman in this movie. So blunt, very much batman.

Also, isn't Bruce broke? How does he have the money to live and travel?

They let him keep the house. Which I imagine is worth a lot... I also imagine he had other investments outside of Wayne Enterprises which he could draw upon.

Finally, as Lucius Fox said they KNEW Bane was the culprit but it would take time to PROVE it and get his fortune back. Just like real life if you can prove fraudulent stock dealings, the trades are reversed.

Do people pay attention to movies anymore?

Interesting to read, because everybody I was with HATED the ending. I don't know that I hated it, but I thought it was pretty bad. So horribly cheesy and "let's tie up all these loose ends happily" Hollywood ending.

Dude the movies are so depressing as is, can't you at least let the trilogy go out smiling?

Catwoman and Bane were great . Cock teasing robin was ok but i wanted to see him as robin :(.

talia twist made the crowd gasp i lol'd. Bane Breaking Batman's back made me go hell yea mother fucker.

all in all it was an enjoyable movie. IMO it still was a lil bit of a let down maybe I was to Hyped.

He was hotheaded when he was was subordinate to a superior officer (Modine) when Gordon is lost down the sewer and the grenade goes off.

Once Gordon handed Blake a promotion to detective while laying in a hospital gown, Modine was salty as fuck and couldn't wait for an opportunity to BAIL OUT.

First chance he got, he went on a stay-cation with his wife while civilians were getting sent away on ice walks into exile.

Modine didn't give a single fuck till the Royal Rumble started.

Just remember that he did the same for Harvey Dent. Bruce Wayne is not a clever man.

Neither is the rest of Gotham.

Bruce Wayne leaves for years in BB, comes back and Batman shows up.

Bruce Wayne becomes a desolate hermit post TDK, Batman disappears completely until TDKR, Bruce Wayne is spotted in the public again, Batman shows up again.

Yet she kills Bane. She's a criminal and Batman should have turned her IN! Turns out Batman is totally corruptible.

But....she was in the Catwoman outfit laying on the Batpod. My argument still stands, Batman was always thinking with his dick when Catwoman was around.

I wanted to post my thoughts on the Bane/Talia relationship from a convo I had with my bro. Just curious to get feedback, see if there is anything I forgot that might make it incorrect.

I took them more as partners and likely lovers. People seem to think Bane was her bitch. I assume he was a caretaker, then a strong influence on her life, and then they took over the League together and he agreed to help when Ra's got killed. I assume the plan was putting their heads together, so you don't take the aspect of Bane being just as smart as Bats but physically his superior.

I still have a problem with her coopting his origin, because it neuters the I was born in the shadows line. But that can be worked around in various ways.

The best ending would be Bane winning. Hanging Batman from the bridge like those soldiers and the bomb going off in the boys home. Catwoman gets away but becomes an even worse person because of the events.

Alfred being admitted into a psychiatric hospital, Gordon somehow ending up in jail, and Selina Kyle...ass to ass!

His house went to the orphan kids.

He can't draw upon shit because he's dead. Even if the trades were reversed.

When Bruce became broke he was all about pussy.

As a great emcee once said, "I dont know whats better, getting laid or getting paid but i know when im getting one the others getting away"

- Yeezy

Batman putting that pussy on the pedestal.

Gives one woman a nuclear bomb and the other one a get out of jail free card and the rest of his shit.

Mickey Pennyworth would tell him that women weaken legs.

Bruce plays up the playboy, ass hole persona while in public and the public's opinion of him probably cloud's their judgment to deduce that he, of all people, could be batman.

Bruce got to get with Selina and Talia though. Are you saying he lost?

If they guessed he could just pull an Iron Man and say he was a sponsor. Explains the resources away, and how he specifically has Wayne tech if anybody finds out.

I don't have the time to search through this thread and see but was I the only one that immediately thought (hoped) Batman Beyond at the end?

I see it as big brother/little sister.

There's nothing that says that Bane could not ALSO have been born in the shadows just like Talia (or it could have been more metaphorical? Which I personally believe). Also being down in the darkness, I can see the innocence of a child being a kind of light which Bane was drawn to as a protector. Bane's loyalty was to Talia first and foremost, rather than the League of Shadows, or chaos, or whatever.

I'd have to say that TDKR > TDK > BB for me, with a very small margin seperating each film. That said, I felt like TDKR did a pretty good job of unifying the entire trilogy which TDK didn't really bother with, and so in future viewings I'll likely be looking at them more as part of a whole than their own entities.

Bane.

Hmm... I'll see it again shortly so I'll watch for it. I really don't remember them ever flaout saying something about five months passing.

You know it was five months cause its mentioned that the reactor would naturally become unstable in that time. Unless I misremember.

There is no "hot" Rachel. There's Joker-Rachel and Dreamworks-smirk-Rachel.

The real question is, does Bruce wrap it up for Miranda?

In one ear, out the RUBBER...

No, they revert to his state, in which he left a sizable portion to I dunno, I charity in Monaco which is actually a front for his new identity. Jeez. These are not plot holes, it takes 5 seconds to come up with a semi-plausible explanation.

BTW, did anyone notice a completely ridiculous nuclear fusion reactor bomb thingy!??1

I missed Gordon's narration during the final scene. He could have been at the diner with his now adult son, or maybe just some random kid.

"Why is he sitting Dad?"

"Because they have to wait on him.

"I don't understand. This is a really crappy restaurant."

"Because he's restaurant patron they deserve, but not the one they need right now."

"So we'll watch him, because he doesn't know we're here."

"He's a big tipper, a ladies man. A dark knight...rises."

He has a photo of her, and it's not even the hot Rachel. No wonder he was so sad for 8 years.

And you know the funny thing about Rachel's death is, since Joker tricked everyone, Rachel died probably thinking that Batman, her childhood best friend, knowingly picked Harvey Kent over her.

Maggie could never wear a tight shirt like Katie.

:(

I like Maggie, but Katie looked really good on the big screen when I watched the marathon.

For the first time I shared Doyer's enthusiasm for Katie

That's what I said. He was saying he thought there was a second time it was mentioned, possibly explicitly, that five months had gone by. I think if you miss Bane saying how long the reactor is stable for, you miss your only chance of knowing five months goes by.

LOL.
