Watched the movie tonight. This was no Dark Knight by any means. Cool scene was batman getting beat by bane. Lame scene was bane getting shot....wtf. Batman couldn't beat bane. The movie felt weak probably my least favorite out of the 3. I still like batman begins the most but I think some of my favorite scenes are in Dark Knight because of Heath Ledger. Avengers was a way more fun movie than The Dark Knight Rises. Also there was way to much bull to be OK with in the DKR. The truck not killing Gordon. The bomb being dragged across the ground with no explosion or it not blowing up when the truck dove off. It was a fun watch but it will be forgettable and I think maybe my hype was high from reading neogaf threads for so long.
Avengers has just as much flaws as this movie. It's the fact that they could pull a good movie out of the avengers that's clouding your judgement.
Saw TDKR again, two things that pop up to me as pretty bad.
1- The CIA guy that has Bane on his plane has to be the worst CIA agent I've ever seen. Looked way too "goofy" while interogating Bane's men in the plane.
2- Selina uses the governor's cellphone to send a txt to her friend, and they could send a swat team and trace the phone within a few sec? Seriously?
Besides that, I love the movie, it closes the loop well. I Liked Dark knight, loved Heath Ledger's performance, but It's my least favorite in the series on a personal note. Batman/Bruce Wayne's not really the main protagonist of that film, it's the city of gotham. The joker's quarrel is with the people of Gotham. And in the end the city proves the Joker wrong. Bruce/Batman was kinda sidelined in a way.
