Actually I was trying to help the Ursa out with what he should do. But the SF threatened to AFK numerous times. Also, I have been on the losing side when the enemy team has had four carries, I was hoping I could also benefit.

someone's gotta create a google excel sheet or irc bot. Last I talked to haly he wanted to do the irc bot, but we should really just whip something up and hit the ground running; we can always tinker with more advanced stuff after a preseason. I talked to delirium about a webapp and he said he could easily convert the hongaf webapp into a simple dota2 ihl version, but that a google excel sheet would be a lot easier.

I believe a list of names (people participating), a w/l, and an elo column that changes with respect to the w/l column. I'm horrible at excel stuff though. Delirium said it was super easy, but delirium says everything computer related is super easy .

Still figuring out the excel spreadsheet atm. I can't quite figure out how to neatly calculate a team's average elo, comparing it the opponent team's average elo, and then handing out the new elo to each individual player. If anyone has more excel experience (or we can just beg delirium when he gets back on), that'd be great.

Once the excel spreadsheet is up, a thread will probably be made for it and you'll be able to sign up there (free to everyone).

Get the average ELO of each team and work out which team should win, and then when it comes to changing the ELO based on who wins compare each users ELO to the average of the other team.

I just wanted to answer this as well just because I got a mountain yak drop when it was my first time playing lion and yeah I played bad but everyone in the game was throwing all kinds of slurs at me. Post game they all started moaning I called it the karma drop.

The math detail section is very easy to understand and should be simple to plug in following the aforementioned idea of comparing a player's individual ELO to the average ELO of the opposing team for calculation. Just need to play with the K factor to make it work for our game rate, but the suggested rates should be fine. I'll be home ~8 if you guys want me to help with the sheet.

Instead of a team Elo rating, we can think of it like this.

Player 1 (1500) wins a match against a team of (1400, 1500, 1500, 1600, 1700)
Player 1's resultant Elo change is:
