Lets see how far we can take this. Can we get half the internet thinking, within a month, that JGL is the Riddler?

Did anyone else get the vibe that the pit/prison is reminiscent of the well that Bruce falls into as a child? The imagery is eerily similar.
Full circle.

Did anyone else think Batman's suit looked cheaper in this one than in TDK? It looked very rubbery in the light.
Big fan of the TDK/TDKR suit, the BB (fatty) suit was nice but not great.
Absolutely amazing. A worthy end to the Nolan trilogy, and probably the second best in it, only due to the masterpiece performance of Ledger.
I thought Bane was a great villain, and I really loved how the movie developed. It felt less about the villain this time, and more about Batman and Bruce. Thought it was great all the way through, and I can't wait to see it again.
Sadly, I was spoiled on Batman's successor-in-the-making, and Bane killing Alfred, which didn't turn out to be true, thankfully, so I was a bit spoiled, but not too badly. Now I can't but wonder where the series goes from here? The last time the Batman movie franchise changed hands, it was a complete disaster. Thankfully though, this time they likely know better, and it will be easier to adapt from Nolan than it was from Burton. I really am excited to see if Robin just straight-up becomes Batman, or if we'll get to see Bale dawn the cowl one last time. Interesting.
He was arrested shortly after he killed them. He probably had it on him still and it was given back to Wayne.
Just came back from the movie.
It was alright. My thoughts/complaints:
- The villains. Both Bane and Talia. Bane's motives didn't really make much sense, all we were given was a minuscule glimpse of his character through a poorly written backstory. Talia's motives made no sense whatsoever. The twist was awful and manipulative.
- The cops blowing up the bridge. You're being told that the bomb is going to blow up soon anyways, and yet you still refuse to let civilians pass, all on Bane's word?
- How does Robin figure out Bruce Wayne is Batman? "Oh, I saw that look on your face and it was that look that told me you're wearing a mask and your true identity is in fact Batman" Quite a stretch there, Robin.
So how is Blake gonna be Batman without any actual income? I'm pretty sure the electric bill alone is going to put him in bankruptcy.
Dumb ass should have never quit the force, you had a pension plan!
Just saw the movie, I think it's better than begins but not as good as TDK. Watching this movie as a new Yorker is really weird. I think Nolan should have really stylized the city the way he did in begins. Because this plot could only happen in a completely fictional city. I kept thinking "there a million ways to get in and out of city, millions of people, and way more cops than bane could ever handle". I guess that's just nit picking.
I loved Bane! Catwoman was actually really good, and the ending was awesome. Though I wish it would have ended with batman doing his thing. instead of running off with catwoman.
How the fuck did batman get back home?? I guess we'll never know like who the fuck flew the plane that got him out of hong kong.
Alot of the "stylized" portion of Gotham in BB, were the Narrows. The Narrows were built inside one of those 2 giant blimp hangers that Nolan loves to use. Think that's where they built the Pit and Bane's Sewer hideout for TDKR. Every other bit of Gotham shown has been real city places (Chicago, then NYC/Pittsburg/LA).
Also, yeah, the amount of cops for Gotham, a city of 12 some odd millions (according to Talia in TDKR), 3000-4000 cops isn't enough. Doesn't NYC have something like 30,000 cops?
People STILL think that Bruce is dead. They even showed him and they think he's dead. If they didn't show him what would they be thinking then?
All the current cast and crew are out.
There will be a full reboot in 5 or so years.
So I saw this movie in a normal theater, and loved it.
I want to take one of my friends to see it since he hasn't seen it yet. ( and I wanted to watch it a second time to pick up on things I didn't notice before). Imax screening or a normal theater screening?
The only reason I ask is because people here act like the Imax aspect ratio changing back and forth is super distracting.
1) Talia's motivation was to finish what her father started and destroy Gotham, and Bane loved her and was her guardian so he did what he could to help her
Not reading through this monster of a thread, but I loved Alfred seeing Bruce and Selina at the end. Leaves it open to interpretation if Alfred's just imagining what he wants to see, or if it's reality. Nolan does a great job with the open endings that don't feel like lame attention-grabbers.
I'll post my full thoughts on the film in a few hours. Just need time to recuperate. As I said in the other thread though, a very surprising and interesting film. Not what I expected. Also loved that I never got spoiled.

This isn't Inception... Alfred isn't crazy. What he saw was real, I see no reason to believe otherwise.

What the fuck!? WWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYY!?

Actually they strongly imply that it's real. Evidence:
Fox finds out Bruce fixed the autopilot so he could have ejected and survived.
Alfred fixed it and he also fixed the bat signal because of his sweeping psychosis. Piss in a bucket, long nails, etc.Actually they strongly imply that it's real. Evidence:

How does he know?
There were articles before this movie came out saying that Nolan was going to an Inception/Memento type ending for this film.
I think there are enough points for both sides of the argument.
You're talking about a bomb that can wipe out the radius of an entire city. People question how fast Bruce could've gotten away after jumping out of the plane. And then there's the whole famous "Bruce is a public figure" debate.
Plus the pearls going missing again. Both Bruce and Selina wanted out they got what they wanted. Pretty sure both of them can live a great life with no cash.
- She never forgave her father, and yet she cared enough to want to blow up 12 million people to avenge this man that she hated?
- Why did she want to blow up Gotham, exactly? Her father wanted to unleash chaos upon the city to make a point: that it was corrupt and could not be saved. She just wanted to blow it up.
- Which brings me to: why wouldn't she just blow it up right away? What was the point of having the bomb on a 50+ day timer? She never expected Batman to escape the pit and come back, and she wasn't trying to make a political point.
- Why did she keep her identity hidden? There was literally no reason, other than to manipulate the audience.
- How did she/Bane have control over all of the criminals? Did they not care that they were going to get blown up by a friggin' nuke as well? Why would they not rebel?
- How did 3000 cops with pistols overpower 1000+ criminals with assault rifles and tanks?
IMDB said:Angelina Jolie, Natalie Portman, Jessica Biel, Charlize Theron Emily Blunt, Vera Farmiga, Gemma Arterton, Abbie Cornish Eva Green Kate Mara, Blake Lively Charlotte Riley, Olivia Wilde and Keira Knightley all auditioned for the role of Selina Kyle. After the initial audition process, Green, Biel and Knightley all screen tested. Ultimately, Anne Hathaway won the role.
Well, if she came out and said she was the daughter of Ra's then I doubt Bruce would have trusted her and helped her to become the CEO of Wayne Enterprises (where Bane likely got his information on where the armory was and the reactor).
According to IMDB...
That is some crazy pool of talent to come out of. Good job Hathaway!
