Do you use gendered insults for the opposite gender

From the Kristen Stewert thread it seems that the word bitch is banned and using it can warrant a ban. I am not gonna lie my group of friends do casually use the word bitch to refer to women and i was wondering does GAF do the same or do they use it to refer to women who they feel did something fucked up. *

*Also, why is it wrong for gendered insults for women to be used but if a girl gaffer referred to a guy as a dickhead, cock, prick i doubt people would bat an eyelid.

Never.

Ask the moderating team.

I don't say mean things often.

But, if I was say mean things, I would use 'bitch' for women and 'dick' for men. I guess because calling a woman a 'dick' sounds weird.

I just try not to use gendered insults at all. There are better ways of getting your point across than resorting to POWER WORDS.

When I noticed that I would call a guy a "jerk" but a girl a "bitch" for the same behavior I stopped using the word "bitch." I make up for it by indiscriminately calling people dicks.

Well, I mean, indiscriminately calling people I think are dicks, dicks. Not just people in general.

I just tell everyone that they like Domino's pizza.

Domino's pizza is amazing.

Not particularly anymore (as far as I know - we'll see when I get back to college). Why would you describe a woman with a word that you can only use behind her back?

I guess I use "bitchin'" sometimes, but that's hardly an insult.

I call my brother a little bitch often. Call my friends bitch asses all the time. Never the C word though. That's always the untouchable one.

Usually when I'm throwing insults at someone/something I'm just trying to pick random insults from my vocabulary that flow well in the context of whatever I'm saying. I've called plenty of male/masculine things: cunt, bitch, etc.

The same reason why if you insult a woman with the word boobie, she will not get mad.

You are SUCH a BOOBIE!

LOOK AT THESE BITCHES

i say bitch, cunt, and pussy a lot but i don't call girls that. and i don't say it around them until they say it first, because i've gotten in trouble with a few girls that don't like certain words. there are things you just dont call women (to their face), and bitch is one of them.

I do. I also use gendered insults for the same sex. I hope I don't use any insult unless it is warranted, but if it is then I am using whatever I feel is appropriate. I mainly call people fuck knuckles though. No, I don't know what that is either.

I try to stay away from them.

More often than not, if I'm using one, it's used on the "wrong" sex.

Which isn't really any less offensive.. so I still try to watch it.

I call my guy friends bitches all the time.
Is that offensive?
Like, my friend Jon is a bitch because he gets butthurt over Magic the Gathering matches and he finds his girlfriends on Gaia Online.
Would anyone care to debate Jon's bitch status?
EDIT: I misunderstood.
I don't like women generalizing men by their genitalia, no.

I don't use those words as insults but I do use them when joking with my female friends.

That said, can't we just put all this crap in a catch-all feminism community thread? All this third-wave feminism nonsense has really been clogging up GAF recently.

Like I said in the Ugly Stewart thread, male demeaning words among others should be bannable too. Otherwise it's hypocritical.

I don't insult people very often (usually just my good friends) so not really. I don't have a problem with people using 'bitch' or 'dick' as insults just because they're gendered. I might question why they're saying it (the insult), though.

The word "bitch" is bannable now? What the hell that's not even a word that's censored on TV. I usually call my male friends that , can't remember an instance when I used the word on a woman. I will say that if I'm angered enough in a IRL situation I follow Chris Rocks theory of insults which is how the hell am I expected be angry and politically correct at the same time. If I'm pissed to the point where I'm straight yelling obscenities at a person's face, whether I'm being politically correct or not will be the last thing on my mind.

I've never really associated "bitch" with any gender. I grew up with it just meaning mean and whiny.

are we really invoking male victimhood OP?

I have stopped using gendered insults in my vocabulary (for the most part), because it's sexist and immature. The only time I lose it is when I am upset, but even then I should not use it. I got kicked out of a bar for telling a bartender to "stfu, B" after she trolled my girlfriend with a loud speaker. I should have just called her a jackass or something b/c in hindsight it was still disrespectful to other women there and the women I was hanging out with, even though the bartender was in the wrong.

You never treat a woman like a man. They are gentle delicate flowers searching for a bee to pollenate. You do not rip the petals asshole.
