You only get the Manta Style illusions from using the item and I don't think they can spawn additional illusions with the passive, but I could be wrong.
How to counter illusions? Get a bunch of AoE. Earthshaker, Sand King, Leshrac, Death Prophet, you get the idea.

They are probably going to remodel the default couriers. They are pretty bland and don't really fit in with the more stylized-looking customs couriers.

You are, they can spawn illusions.
And DP isn't really as aoe as people think, yeah she has the spammable nuke, but her ulti is largely single target.
As a mega Leshrac lover, Keeper of the Light seems amazing to me.... why do I have to love INT heroes so much, especially now that Nyx Assassin is in? I am so damned... :/

Played around on test server for a bit, some of my impressions. Visage's model is crazy good. Visage is a lot of fun but his ult feels kind of wack, 100 gold bounty on 300 health 2 minute cooldown familiars? They die so easily from cleave, but it looks like they are immune to magic aoe. Killing panda spirits is 100x harder and they give jack. Dude is super tanky for an int hero though. I know they use to trilane him, but where would he fit now, mid?
Nyx seems to need momentum and an early dagon to have a presence. I hate the cast time on his damage reflect. Once you get that dagon though you are a killing machine.
Out of the three, KOTL seems the strongest in what he can do. His nuke look like it would be godly for laning phase, and tranquil/chakra makes it so he never has to return to base. The mana rupture is nicer than I thought it would be as well. Also really love his spell effects, but his nuke is kind buggy on my computer. His ult reminds me a lot of gandalf coming to helms deep.

Higher res textures. Look at his portrait in game and tell me he looks good.
This is a face even a mother wouldn't love.
On another note, googling hero portraits results in some weird fanart.

So... How should I counter Nyx If playing as a support? His ultimate looks deadly if you're squishie.

I haven't been able to play since my laptop fan got screwy. Ordered a replacement online, but they sent the wrong part. It's now in the shop and will be there for another day or two.

445 cs in 58 mins as am, still lose to a 3 man stack. I don't queue with 2 other people, why should I have to fight stacks :/. Hopefully team queueing makes it in soon.
I had a nice stack against my solo queue this morning..faced against quantic's new team including brax.

Some of the item icon changes are better, some are worse, some I'm indifferent to. It's a mixed bag.
Armlet is worse I think - less distinctive.
Blink dagger put on some weight - looks pretty bad now.
Poor Man's Shield no longer seems to be fitting of its name.
Vanguard, I think is harder to decipher that it's a shield rather than a mask or something - change for the worse.
Skadi change is okay, though the all-white background was distinctive.
The skinnier/zoomed out Quarterstaff kind of bugs me, but I'm fairly indifferent to that one.
Orb of Venom is subtle, but I think a change for the worse.
Medallion of Courage is an overall improvement I think. More detailed.
I like the new Magic Wand.
Hood I'm fairly indifferent to. Probably an improvement.
Heart is slightly worse.
Headdress I like the new one, but I think the old was pretty distinctive as well.
Couriers are awful now.
Dagon is improved.
Chainmail is more detailed - better, even though it's actually scale mail in the icon.
Bottle is worse.
Kinda like the glowing eyes on BKB.
AC is changed, but not necessarily better or worse - just different.

This one continues to confuse me.
First it was a leather shirt, now it is scalemail.
I wonder if it will ever become chainmail.

And anyone else have a hard time spotting any differences in the Crystal Maiden comparison shots? She looked pretty much the same to me.

If you open it in two tabs and click between it quickly, you will notice a few changes.
Her texture's a lot smoother. Also looks like the painted in shadows were mostly removed.
The only icon I greatly dislike is the new vanguard. I'm fine with the design itself but it looks super realistic compared to the other icons.

There, that lets me see it. The differences are mostly subtle, but improvements I think. Fewer jaggies in parts and other things.
