So what's "wrong" with the Necro? I'm planning on making one my alt.

Oh okay. I thought I was just bad at doing single target damage.Their single target damage is just a little low and related to that they don't have a ton of viable builds. One of the devs said in an interview several pages back they need some love so they'll be getting buffed before launch. Their staff is great AoE damage and they're tough as nails to kill (death shroud basically gives you a secondary health bar).
I played a sylvari necro for the entire beta 3 just about and had a blast. She's probably going to be my main alt.
I just like pushing people off cliffs, walls, into guards, away from capture points, before they stomp an ally... The applications are endless!I noticed this as well. I think it's the animations for it. You just go absolutely flying through the air.
We've been keeping an eye on it. As Fluffy mentioned though, it's not very accurate. For example, Gate of Madness is only showing 4 guilds, only one of which is in that repulsive Titan Alliance. In fact, out of the 10 guilds that make up Titan, only 2 are on there; Brotherhood (on GoM) and Unlimited (who are actually listed as "undecided").
Maybe after the huge clusterfuck, they abandoned the server and alliance completely.
You know, GAF guild might finally end up on GoM afterall if they all disband out.Maybe after the huge clusterfuck, they abandoned the server and alliance completely.

Never said it wasn't. It's the Dungeon stuff that's expensive. I would imagine the cultural stuff is a mid-level gold sink for people who want to maintain a certain look. 20g a piece is pretty steep, I didn't spend any money and I think the highest I ever had was 50 silver.
"Getting our wires crossed" sounds like Asura innuendo.
What's the GAF EU Guild name?
Me and my 8 or so friends are planning on joining.

It's all one big guild across the both servers we choose, the only difference being what home server we are on, although we can still play with our U.S compadres by server guesting but only for PvE and sPvP. The EU server will be Gandara.
Ok cool.
So what's the Guild name?
plain and simple
GAF
Looks like WoW MoP releases 9/25 (side note, for some reason I always remember that date since it's when Cliff Burton of Metallica died in the bus wreck).
PLENTY of time for GW2 to distract WoW MMO players until their release, not that there's direct competition anyway with the different business models, but you still want to maintain those that have bought the game to keep having the potential that they buy things in the gem store.
Pre-ordered this today, super excited. For people who played the beta and a variety of classes, did you prefer Hunter or Mesmer? Those are the classes I'm looking at most right now.

I honestly didn't have any problems with any of the Titan Alliance guilds and players on the server. Even in the Heart of the Mist and WvWvW, the chat discussion remained mostly civil, and I ran into lots of friendly people that helped me out and answered all my questions. If it wasn't for the extremely long queues for WvWvW and the fact that many Gaffers couldn't even join because of the server population cap, I'd even vote for GAF to stay on Gate of Madness. But yeah, those two are kinda important issues.
By hunter do you mean Ranger or Theif?
Anyway just trying to clarify, but I didn't play either of those. The Warrior and Engineer ones were awesome.
"is there a chance they will increase the WvW population cap? 100 for each server per map seems too small"
On the official forums ArenaNet seemed pretty unsatisfied with how WvW worked out during the weekend, I'd be surprised if this wasn't a very high priority issue for them.
I hope I don't get crucified for this, but I'm of the opinion that WvW should be multiplied into tiers of level ranges to alleviate this issue and also balance things out a bit - multiple battlefields based on the queuer's level being something like 1-14, then another set of queues/instances for levels 15-29, and then another set for levels 30-80 (since all skills are potentially unlocked at 30). This will effectively triple the WvW population potential.
I don't think it's really wise to ever assume that 2 random people you see in passing speak for several hundred.
It's good he came forward and did that. It really helps protect their reputation. That said, it doesn't fix the queue situation.
Also, I love the attitude you posted this with, Tekno, as if it didn't make sense to assume it was an official endorsement given it was done in map-wide chat where everyone could see - and nothing was said at the time to refute it.
Condoned it by reporting it to officers and getting them removed.
If you want to move away from that specific alliance that's fine by me, but if it's only due to the want of the guild to be the king of the server instead (or at least not be at the shadow of a huge alliance), I'd like to see how you can even guarantee that, especially when we have less servers and the times we were by ourselves we didn't manage to have a significant presence (other than some very specific instances taking keeps late at night) in WvW. Might as well start by stating what are the goals of the guild: having fun each in their own way, super competitive in WvW, have a huge presence in our servers in all kinds of activities? All of the above?

I didn't have a problem with the server. Every time I logged in and checked server status in the world selection option every server showed up red (full) so I doubt come launch, every other server but the one with that specific alliance won't have queues for WvW or a zillion people playing around. I did manage to get into WvW, but used my time for other things. It might have been a problem due to consolidation as well, as there were not as many server options as last time.

We're not aiming to be the king of the server, we don't want that at all. All we want is to be able to jump into WvW when we want and not have to wait in a queue for an hour nor do we want to be on a server with an absolute monster horde alliance that will just own everything while we twiddle our thumbs. I don't think many people here want our server to win time and time again while we either did nothing to contribute towards it or so little it was insignificant. I think all of us want to have struggles and epic battles against other servers, not faceroll crap that happened this past weekend on GoM. We want to have fun, not waiting around to play nor being unable to contribute whatsoever because the entire map is steam rolled.
Keep in mind when Worlds got matched on Saturday, we weren't facerolling anymore.nor do we want to be on a server with an absolute monster horde alliance that will just own everything while we twiddle our thumbs. So your point was only true on day 1.
Isn't this the sort of issue that will fix itself if Anet plays its cards correctly and matches servers against each other based on how those servers did previously in WvW?
Is Gate of Madness no longer the server GAF will be on at launch?
Hopefully. Which would suck if TA didn't plan on playing one week and everybody else jumped in and tried to win with no organization between the people playing, ha ... would be hilarious.
I don't think it's really anything to worry about, it will work itself out IMO and beta's and even the first couple weeks of retail will be a bit rough but after that should fix itself.
