Yo China,

If you're going to post mock-ups to convince us you have the insight or a real deal iPhone 5, at least make sure not to include the battery charging icon on the display, even when nothing is actually plugged into the phone.

Oh, and Apple doesn't use Phillips head screws on their phones, nice try, though.

These sites just go off of the same rumors we see. Above is bullshit and just conjecture.

Agreed. I posted it because it was interesting to see the lengths some of risk these case manufacturers are willing to take to have a leg up on the competition.

So you think a prototype has the charging battery icon on it even though it is not plugged in?

What is more likely - some no name Chinese website no one has heard of has an iPhone or they read the rumors and mocked one themselves? Considering Gizmodo is the source of pushing this story, I think it is obvious this is garbage.
 
It's ok dudes, it's just a mock-up. I don't think anyone is claiming or thinking that that's a working product.

This. Its probably a correct size plastic shell and the faux display is there for case and bezel thickness purposes. Which makes me think that bottom bezel on the phone is huge if correctly proportioned. Combined with the thick top bezel, the screen should be bigger and bezel smaller.

Considering there are only 3 phones with 3.5 inch screens, and the market is saturated in larger screen phones, that's not a difficult accomplishment.

Agreed. I'll only settle for slightly bigger if it get's substantially thinner as well though. But the size is pitch perfect right now. I even like the 3.5" screen. It's a telephone, not a movie theater. When I want to see something on a bigger screen I'll go to my computer or TV.
 
The back looks ugly on the new iPhone, the phone screen is too looooooong, smaller dock connecter fucks with all the shit I have with the old dock. Sad panda :(

I hope if the phone is bigger they pick materials that weigh less. Part of the reason I can deal with the galaxy nexus's size is because it's lighter than my iPhone.

You're under the assumption they were trying to convince anyone.

I would say they are just making mockups based on rumours so they can make cases. I don't think they're trying to convince anyone they have an iPhone 5.

And the battery icon is the least of the issues. How about it just being a fake screen? No camera with flash on would take an image with a shutter speed that could adequately capture a screen being on.

I somewhat agree, I think. I mean, the screen size looks fine to me, but I feel if they're going to increase the screen they need to get it slimmer or taper it somehow on the ends to at least give it the sense of being slimmer. That looks almost iPhone4 like in thickness. I like the size and slimness of my GSIII, but it's been a while since I'd held a 4 or 4S, so I may be remembering the thickness of the phone wrong.

If the earlier leaks are accurate, it's about 2/3 as thick.

This is my last dive with an iPhone if the design remains the same in iPhone 6

I loved the iPhone 4 design when all of GAF proclaimed the leak to be fake because it was too hideous to be real. Haha at how that turned out. When it was discovered to be real, everyone immediately had a change of heart. How surprising...

Anyway, I think this design looks great and I always hoped for my MacBook Air to be black anodized aluminum. It looks fantastic but it is very incremental. It's not enough of a step forward. So good design but uninspired at this point in time.

Er, have you ever looked at the bottom of an iPhone 4?

I sort of like the new design. There are differences from the 4. I'm not entirely sold on that raised front panel though.
