I'm cool with Double Elimination in fighting games and stuff. I don't know about Dota though, it's like taking Dota's snowball effect and just shoving it up to maximum levels for the opposing team.

Wish PB were at the international too. It's a shame they got their shit together so late, Aui_2k and TidesofTimes are great players, used to play with them quite a bit.

Since there seems to be a demand for more console commands, I'll post some others that are useful. // means that a line is tabbed out. This line will not be read by the game, but is used to give an explanation about what a certain command does.

//Displays a ring around the hero at the specified radius
//press l to go up 100 each time starting from 600
//press j to go down each time starting from 600
//press k to turn them off
//press i for 1200 (probably the biggest useful size)
bind "i" "dota_range_display 1200"
bind "k" "dota_range_display 0"
bind "l" "toggle dota_range_display 600 700 800 900 1000 1100 1200 1300"
bind "j" "toggle dota_range_display 600 500 400 300 200 100 0"

Basically you use 'I' to create a ring of 1200 range (which is the XP gain range and close to Blink Dagger range (I think blink is 1100 or 1075)). With some heroes, you might wanna adjust this ring. For example, if you are Pudge, your hook has a range of 1300, so you press 'L' after and you have a slightly bigger ring.

dota_disable_range_finder "0" // Visual spell range indicator activated (default 1)

Unlike the ring which is a static range helper, this will give an indicator on when a spell is out of range or not. If we take Leshrac's stun as an example, it will draw a green line between Lesh and the targeted ground. If Lesh is out of range, the line will turn partly transparant. If he is in range, the line will turn a solid green. Does not work with all spells, however.

dota_sf_game_end_delay 0 //make results appear immediately after game ends
dota_player_multipler_orders "1" //Enables CTRL to issue command to all units including hero
jpeg_quality "100" // JPEG screenshot quality
dota_selector_fulldeck_mode "1" // open grid view
bind "F11" "toggleconsole"

Self explanatory.

// Fitting Netgraph in the topbar for 1680x1050, 1920x1200 and 1920x1080. Play around with net_graphinsetbottom and net_graphinsetright to adjust it for other resolutions
net_graphinsetbottom "436" // Position from bottom edge. Put "55" for 1280x800 (Default 0)
net_graphinsetright "-68" // Position from right edge. Put "-100" for 1280x800 (Default 0)
net_graphproportionalfont "0" // Makes net_graph text smaller (Default 1)
net_graph "1" // Enables the Net_Graph (Default 0)

Makes the netgraph stuff be nice and tight in the upper right corner. Does not mess with the UI at all.

//Fade time on visual effects on doing or receiving damage reduced to half duration
dota_health_hurt_decay_time_max "0.4" // (Default 0.8)
dota_health_hurt_decay_time_min "0.15" // (Default 0.3)
dota_health_hurt_delay "0.05" // (Default 0.1)
dota_pain_decay "0.4" // (Default 0.8)
dota_pain_factor "1.5" // (Default 3)
dota_pain_fade_rate "1.5" // (Default 3)
dota_pain_multiplier "0.4" // (Default 0.8)

dota_screen_shake "0" // Screen shake on certain spell effects (default 1)

Less visual clutter. Not really needed, but it's a good fix. I also have screen shakes turned off.

Agreed, do you really think CLG right now has any hopes of winning being 2-0 behind? If they were 1-0 behind they would have already lost. Just like Mouz at the starladder finals. It was the grand finals and it was only 2 games that Navi won in a row. Not fun at all.

It's like playing the final in the football world cup and 1 team is 1-0 ahead..

Looks like it will be 3-0 anyway. I prefer no game advantage myself. Best of 5 starting with 0-0 is more fair for that game itself. But we've already been over this before. Some people want there to be an advantage for the high bracket team and a disadvantage for the lower bracket team.

I personally don't agree a 1 full game advantage should be that though, it's too much to fight back from most of the time.

It defeats the purpose of a double elimination tournament and actually penalizes the team that went through the higher bracket because they only get a single elimination in the final before they're out of the tournament. SC2 tournaments work perfectly fine on it, and it makes winning from the losers bracket hard (as it should be) and really special when it happens.

Then don't make it a pseudo-double elimination tournament where everybody gets a chance to lose a match except for the winners in the grand final. Whether you make the grand final a two set BO3 where the winners bracket starts one up (because they already won a BO3 against CLG) or you give them a game advantage in the series. If not, it's not double elimination, and they should have just made it a single elimination tournament and CLG would have been out the moment they lost to PB in the playoffs.

Ugh. Her weird inflection at the end of every sentence just screams trying to do scottish/irish accent. It really annoys me
In a sea of "standard American" accents, voice-sets like hers, Lone Druid's, Death Prophet's, etc, are all a breath of fresh air.

BOTTOM MESSING

Those two Force Staffs being targeted on Rubick is amusing/impressive (covers 1200 units, equivalent to a Blink Dagger). I dub it the pole vault.

I really want some antimage vs. invoker lines.

AM, Lone Druid, Nightstalker, Stormspirit, Gyrocopter, Invoker, Rhasta and Tinker have the best voices/lines in my opinion.

Razor, Beastmaster, Sniper are sometimes unbearable.

Edit: Also

I think I still like enigma's old voice better.

Damn, those alien bastards are gonna pay for shooting up my ride.

Divine Rapier time for Pottom Bottom, provided Luna can get there.

Kinda questionable smoke gank there, POTM didn't have enough timely CC to take out the heroes they jumped on. Odd to say it, but a Rapier would have been the safer option.

I still like Razor, BM, and Sniper, but those others are better. There are some lines for heroes where something about the delivery just makes them. A few examples:

Brewmaster: "A BARREL of laughs!"
Viper: "Did you ever wonder what that was like? Well heeere it iiiis!"
Spirit Breaker: "My anvil is the one on which your spirit, lies broken."
Enchantress: "You know what I love? Everything!"

Yeah, I've really been getting into Tinker lately and I love his lines.
"You can keep your magic, I have laser-beams!"

Whats a good strategy to beating keeper of the light? He has a 4 man posse of bodyguards so he can just sit back and spam his very powerful spell :(. Also how does one beat lycan, just ward his jungle and keep ganking him?
