Sprint underneath it, kill with arrows. Isn't there an NPC (Biorr IIRC) that can assist you?

I tried again today to pass 1.4 but I can't kill the blue dragon, so I'm stumped lol
Well, I entered 4-1 and the very first enemy there made me its bitch... twice. Clearly, this is going to take some practice.
I haven't finished it yet (I'm in 1.4) but overall I don't think Demons Souls is as difficult as some make it out.
The game itself isn't difficult, it is learning curve at the beginning that causes the most problems. I initially thought the first couple of areas (1.1 and 2.1) were hard, but that was until I figured out that magic is my friend. Most of the bosses I have managed to beat in one or two goes, I have been able to spam the magic attacks on most of them.

I still think the beginning of 4-1 is difficult, even though i've beaten the game several times. But really if you are patient it's not that hard. Let them hit your shield, walk around them when they are recovering for a backstab. Don't aggro more than one at once
Teachinator, if you wanna go in the back way, you need to head back to Firelink, head down the steps and elevator.
As soon as you reach New Londo, there should be another 'tower' like the one you arrived in (to your right as you step into the area full of monging out undead). Head up there, and you'll be able to open a locked gate with the master key (or usually key to New Londo ruins I think).
Head out into the Valley of Drakes, cross a small wooden bridge, and you'll soon know where you're at. Good luck!
I HATE ORNSTEIN AND SMOUGH. Seriously. This is probably the first time in the game that I've felt properly challenged. Granted, I've only had around 5-10 attempts, but I'm struggling. I think my issue is that I have no ranged options.
Also, I cannot for the life of me figure out why Andre won't +7 my weapons. He has the ember and I, an abundance of shards. Is there something I'm not seeing here? I mean, should it not be exactly the same as +6-ing (which I've done), apart from the amount of large titanite needed? Confused, yo.

Engaging in jolly cooperation with Sunbro is always a good idea, but not a necessity.Ha. Thanks, guys. I figured it out. I was just being a mega spud and looking for it under 'modify', rather than 'reinforce'.
So, is it imperative that I employ the help of that Knight companion to take on S&O? I've no humanity, so I've been taking them on solo due to not being bothered leaving and doing some humanity farming.
Also, how far into the game am I?

Depending on what areas you've done so far, I'd say Anor Londo is about 40-50% through the game.Ha. Thanks, guys. I figured it out. I was just being a mega spud and looking for it under 'modify', rather than 'reinforce'.

Umbasa.
So i killed Quelag with quite a bit of help from some phantoms. Blighttown blows. I went in the back door and followed a video to the boss. The framerate is garbage the enemies are annoying. I love you you walk out of a poison laden swamp only to get smashed in the face with a giant rock.
If I had come to Blighttown from The front door I probably would have quit the game.
I may need help taking down some of the bosses/cutting off tails, etc so i can complete my task of the weapons trophy. I usually run into the issue with priscilla and moreso with sheath. I know you wanted to get into some pvp but how does co-op sound?
2.2 is maddening. It's freakin' HUGE and of course, if you die, it starts you all the way back at the beginning. I threw my controller down when I died at the very bottom of the pit with the three worms. This game can bite me.
(I did appreciate the new +1 sword I found, though. Shiny!)
Demon's Souls?
The boss there is even harder.
:O
Oh, TERRIFIC.
Don't forget to bring the Ring of Flame Resistance, Steel Shield, and use a Magic Weapon like the Crescent Falchion+1 you find in 4-1, he is vulnerable to magic.
Thats how I killed that bastard!!

If you're out of humanity, slap down your summon sign in the bonfire room and help other players out with O&S - you get risk free experience at fighting them and 25,000 souls and 1 humanity every run. Also the rats in the Depths are good for farming humanity.
O&S is fun to do solo, but it's masochistic for a first run. A huge part of the fun of DS is co-op and invading, it's not 'cheating' to use summons for bosses, especially O&S.
Didn't you open the shortcut to the great hall with the Royal Giant Guards?O&S is doing my head in; plus, I've not kindled the closest bonfire, so there's a bit of an agonizing trek to do.

I'm trying out 4-1 now. The Dragon Sword +1 I found in 2-2 is making the bouncy skeleton guys there an absolute joke. That gives me much joy.
EDIT: So, yeah, the simple and obvious answer is to go get some tasty humanity and kindle that third bonfire. This should have been the first thing I did, but alas, I am stubborn!
Nice man! It's delusional to hope all PvP will be like this, but when it occasionally comes along, it's usually really fun and memorable.Ok, I have a story to share involving two phantoms, Darkroot Garden, and jolly co-operation.
I've recently got into PvP, mostly because I joined the Darkwraith covenant. I'll be honest, I'm awful in PvP matches. Though I kept doing them because I wanted to engage in a great match.
So I decide to invade in Darkroot Garden, mostly because I've never had a match there before. I invade, and find myself in a world where the host is already engaged in battle with another phantom. So, I sit back, and let them finish first. Soon, the host finished off the phantom. We face each other, bow, and begin to fight. We're pretty much tied in battle when another phantom invades. We stop, wait for the phantom to show up, and take him on together.
The other phantom didn't like the idea, so he tried to lure the host in the middle of the forest, where all of the enemies were at. I follow the phantom, while the host stayed behind. I engaged the phantom. I thought he was going to win, since he took half of my health away via backstab. Ultimately, I emerge victorious. I walk back to the host, we bow once again, and resume our duel. Eventually, I was defeated. He bowed as I died, and I was sent back to my world.
I actually didn't mind losing. I was happy enough knowing that it was a good match, and that we each had fun.
tl;dr version: I had my very first respectable duel. It was awesome.

try upgrading it and you'll be even happier.....
After several hours, I managed to polish off 4-1. Brilliant level design there. Now I'm back to 2-2, a level I really can't stand. Can't really use the dragon sword there (because of its fire effect) so I've switched to the weapon I picked up in 4-1, which is almost as good.

I'll be getting on the Triple in a little bit so I'll message you if I see you online.

:O

I seem to progress so much faster when i play in small tight bursts. The other day I was marathoning and hit a wall with Havel. I Kept plowing at it but kept losing souls and feeling drained. The mood of the game can also be draining.
