Moe, moe: Someone opened a maid cafe in Detroit

The one in Culver City was the Royal-T cafe, which closed last month.

It was basically just a really quirky restaurant that happened to put all its servers in maid uniforms. There was no weird behavior beyond that, really. (shrug)

Had good curry, though.

This is a brilliant tax shelter, and I actually mean that genuinely. All their hobby purchases are now business expenses. Now they can be buying their cosplay, props and decor tax-free, and meanwhile they are ordering wholesale so they can offer it to the local community at greater convenience.

I hope this works out for them. This is how American business is actually supposed to work. I hope there are more con kids in Detroit than I think there are. And I hope they have more disposable income than I think they do.

This is the type of kawaii you wan't ^_^

Other than the maids, looks like a cool place for those people to hang out.

Next place: Baltimore!
*looks around at the crop of women in Baltimore. Especially those actually likely to work at a maid cafe*

Nah. We good.

So what fighting game shows up in the video?

I don't wanna watch the video...
Mahvel of course.

Would have said Arcana Heart or Blazblue myself. Cause annie-may.

The title originally said "Moe town", but then I deleted it because I was afraid people would think I was trying too hard.

FUCK YOU GAF

I think this would work, but as a more Westernized version - men and women of different races dressed in clothes someone has a fetish for. The only reason there are "maid caffees" is cultural, maids are fantasy personification among some people in Japan, same as OLs.

In the West that is not true, or at least the maids wear different uniforms. But people in the U.S. also have fetishes - office lady, businessman, UPS worker, pool boy, etc. This would work, but I don't know how legal that establishment would be.

So successful venture would have a person walking you to your table, and asking what waiter/waitress you would like to serve you tonight:

1. Sex
2. Race
3. Clothes

The hispanic maid is already a pretty popular fetish here.

Moe, moe, moe!

Maid cafes originated in Tokyo in the early 2000s and quickly spread all over Japan, spawning spin-offs like maid hair salons and car detailing shops.

Yeah, I'm gonna need details of that.

i like where you're taking this. What is the maid equivalent for the US? No, not french maid.

Cowboy cafe? Wrestling? I like the office lady ideal, but it doesn't have wide appeal. Oooh sexy teacher cafe. Subservient Boss cafe. Investors, PM me.
