Yes, Xzeon, people are allowed to say horrible shit about ponies and the pony community. It's just their opinion man. It doesn't change how much you like it. It doesn't change whether you're a good person or a bad person. It doesn't mean you're mentally ill.
Being socially maladjusted is just something some people are, and it tends to be specifically symptomatic of people who find a need to disappear so deeply into a particular nerd culture that they would go to cons like this. It only becomes funny when people try to deny the truth of what they are.
hey man it seems like you have some genuinely impressive projecting there, I didn't call you a pedo dude. It's ok to admit you're socially maladjusted. I don't know why that seems to be such a dirty word for you. The type of people who like My Little Pony at this level are not the type of people who find it easy to go out in the world and relate with the average person. They're not the type who can hold conversations easily with the opposite sex. They're often the type who find it complicated to break away from living with their parents, or find the outside world intimidating.
I know because I have fought with anxiety disorder in the past. I have fought with depression. I know what it's like man. It's nothing to be ashamed about. It's often what defines these people, what makes them talk the way they do, what makes them act how they do, what makes them think the way they think. I'm fortunate in that I only go through periods of these things and can function perfectly well when I'm not, but others aren't so fortunate. And there's nothing wrong with that either.
The problem keeps coming back to you finding it impossible to accept who you are, the truth about yourself. You're being dishonest with yourself. It's one thing to be dishonest with others, you can make up for that. You can't ever make up for being dishonest with yourself, it'll always be a crutch. That's how you become really happy and stop caring about perceived slights against your hobbies on the internet. Acceptance.

Let me run the list of animated shows I like past you to make sure it's acceptable: MLP, Adventure Time, Avengers: EMH, Archer, Wakfu, Futurama, Gravity Falls, AtlA, and Korra, just off the top of my head.
I guess I'm a nerd on certain things, I'm not really a brony cause I don't watch episodes and have opinions on them and such. I just knew the community here.

Totally joking, I was just running with the meme. I get at least a few hours of gaming in a week myself.
I went to the convention because I happened to be visiting NYC that week due to the pride parade the week before. You act like it's some big deal to go to a con? We had time to go there and visit The Statue of Liberty and a few other choice spots the same day.
I'm not going to debate whether or not each individual in these videos were socially maladjusted, but that's not what you've been saying. Granted, I don't know if you actually believe that all these stereotypes are universally true or if you're just being disingenuous, but either way you're coming across as rather ignorant... though I'm sure you already knew that.

it's not that you can't also like some good things, chances are tastes would overlap in some arenas. It's just I personally couldn't take your taste as a metric for what types of shows to watch, since loving My Little Pony means your taste is probably too erratic and willing to accept bad shit for me to take as a barometer of quality. I subconsciously mark certain movies, shows and games as products that if I read someone enjoys them, I probably can't use their opinion as a guide anymore. Nothing wrong with them, it's just worthless to try. Our tastes would be by default too different.

Gender wise, the audience seems to be male oriented even when you dont count the internet. Out of my three friends, one is male and everyone on campus that wears MLP shirts are male too. Even back in high school, i never saw a girl wear MLP shirts.
I guess the female fans tend to hide their love of the show.
