Yup, also working late at night, it really makes me concentrate and get in "the zone". Somehow it doesn't let me slide into facebook/neogaf/whatever other huge time waster.
WTF at that MK pic, can't wait to see how Japan dissects that game... IF they like it and (bigger if)if they have fixed that 1p trade advantage nonsense.

The 1p advantage stuff is pretty dumb, but it's way, way less of an issue than a lot of people assume.
Pretty much every recent fighter has stupid stuff that's more impactful than the 1p advantage in MK9.
Oh, ok. It sounds pretty bad, almost like a beta product in this day and age. How's the balance? I think I haven't played MK9 even once.

1P advantage gives certain characters a very noticable advantage. Characters such as johnny cage. I still think its an issue overall due to how some characters are. Cage is a frame trap character with fast normals, if he wins all trades then its nothing but frame traps where you're going to get chipped to death since you have less options than normally.

Didn't say it wasn't an issue. It's just not the end of the world like a lot of people who don't know anything about the game assume.
Tiers are pretty spread out compared to a game like AE or something, but it's not as bad as 3S or something.

I really wonder what would happen if Capcom introduced a total re-work of SFxT. I'm talking EVERY issue addressed. Would the FGC give it another chance?

Even though I was not happy at the gems/DLC/time out situations, I still feel like it could be a fun and deep game.
But nope, people already changed their minds to "HATE" mode. :/
Oh well, at least the PC version will live on since you can mod it.
The reaction in that thread is funny to me because they should just run a huge side tournament and prove that SFxT gets the numbers deserving of an EVO game instead of complaining that it disrupts the tournament scene and makes it hard to grow.
At least, that's what people said for Blazblue~
No hate for SFxT, but I at least want to hope that those people complaining aren't the same people who told BB players to deal with it. That'd be hypocritical, after all.

Yes there is prejudice, yes there was potential. But they fucked up. They took to long to fix the game (still not fixed yet), took too long to release finished, leaked, on-disc content. The fan base moved on, you can't expect people to stay hopeful for a game for half a year in the state it was in, an unfun state. And you expect people to get back into the game half a year later when they've been frustrated to death and burned by their purchases?
Not happening. People who stuck with SFxTK shouldn't expect this either, you would need a miracle and a half to rebirth this game. This shouldn't surprise anyone, not even Capcom. I legitimately wanted SFxTK to succeed because it set a precedent for levels of content in a Capcom game where their competitors have been gaining ground, but then it failed on multiple levels and became a poster child for Capcom's fuck ups this gen, all in one game. Capcom knows, Sven openly answers "y duz SFxTK suck" questions. I just hope they don't scale back their future endeavors because of this.
tl;dr: Don't blame the people for not sticking with a shitty product for the sake of false hope and the mystical patch which likely won't shake things up enough anyways without drastically changing the entire combat system (which is again, very unlikely).
