Just send it back to Nintendo. The turn-around time is a week or two. I called them this morning about my dead pixel and yellow top screen. They quoted me a week maximum to get it back since I live in a state with a Nintendo repair center. I opted not to do it. I'll just wait a week for my transfer restriction to reset and then replace it at Target.

Not sure of the security measures. Like, the PSP and 360 had little stickers that you would "break" their seal and tip them off at the factory. There were a few ways around that.
You'd basically have to weigh your options. Opening it "could" potentially void your warranty, but then you'd have to deal with a speck.

Well duh, that is what makes it funny! Like it or not, Vita has a reputation (whether you agree with it or not) for having a poor library.

Played about 1.5 hours more of Kingdom Hearts in 3D. I especially like the sequences where you fly into the level after "dropping" from your other character. Reminds me of KI

There's a ton of different ways your eyesight can be impaired. My eyesight, for instance, is impaired because I have a dominant left eye at 20/20 and a weak right eye at 20/80 (correctable to 20/60). Most of my vision comes from my left eye, and thus any 3d effect is mostly lost on me.
On some 3d games, it works ok for me, like OoT, but on games where the effect is more subtle, it doesn't translate for me.

3ds game you mean? If so I'd go with Kid Icarus, Mario Kart, or Ocarina of Time. There are a ton that I've enjoyed for months now. Also just got a Blue XL, excellent choice!

Nice, I love SSF3D, I would kill for an updated SSF arcade version since I want the other characters even if it was downloadable or a platinum hits type upgrade.

Been playing my XL nonstop. Got Sunday and played New SMB 2. Tried every single 3ds game I had. Loving Mario Kart, Resident Evil, Mario Tennis and Kingdom Hearts just to name a few. I am very impressed with it. Im so glad I got it. Great piece of hardware!
No, the Vita is the "Lynx variant" of the 3DS.

So far so good, didn't get time to play it yesterday. The screens are wonderful and the build quality is great also. No loose hinges or pixel problems. Also I don't notice any difference in the screen temp.

As a Vita owner I can attest to this fact. It was kinda snide, but sadly there's some truth to that image. While I am laughing at the image I am kind of sad at the same time.

Yeah, the comic did feel rather spiteful. I can't understand how hating on the Vita is going to make anyone's enjoyment of the 3DS any better.
Just transferred everything fine. I played a couple of hours last night and am digging it. Mario 3D Land was really nice. Zelda OOT I am having a harder time finding a sweet spot.
When did this go from being about the 3DS to being about an episode of Jerry Springer with a bunch of sony fanboys and a bunch of Nintendo fanboys going at each others throats? Can't we just have a civilized conversation?

Oh man, my woes with this purchase will never end. The GS I bought my XL from didn't have a WiFi connection so I had to go to the nearby restaurant and buy something to get their pass in order to perform the system transfer. The process only needs Internet for authentication. It started okay, but then after everything transferred it needed to connect again to migrate eStore info, at which I'm guessing the wifi signal was weak. So my OG 3DS interrupted the process, no try again button or anything. I had to hard reset the XL to restart the process, because nothing else worked.
Is okay for me now to curse Nintendo for being too stupid to implement an account based online system? Pretty please?

I had one game to transfer, which was 4 swords, the pokedex, and the netflix app. took about 25 minutes.

SSF4 3D cramps my hand. Even on the XL. 
I still managed to sink 30+ hours into it and was glad to find people still playing it online when I tried it on the XL yesterday. I just can't play it anymore...lost tons of BP to nonsense (lite control users) since I forgot to do custom matches against pro control users, too.

SSF4 3D cramps my hand. Even on the XL.
if you want consistent matches (like finding people) it's just the nature of the beast.
makes charge characters WAY different and Guild god-tier.
Fortunately, the majority of people that play the top characters can't do combos, which makes it pretty easy to beat them

The idea of system-transfers in 2012 is a joke and it hurts only the most loyal of fans, 99.9% of 3DS owners are not going to upgrade or buy another 3DS system unless their current one breaks down

(the point being that Persona 4: Golden looks fucking amazing, and that I might buy a Vita later this year)

I noticed when playing a gameboy at native resolution(w/ GB border) on the XL looks bad when the 3D isn't at Max or off. Anything in the middle makes the games look worse. So all or nothing.

got my screen protectors and I fucked it up badly. I didn't know what side was the sticky side and I figured where it was and tried to clean it with a cloth. DUST EVERYWHERE. I tried to cut the top one to fit the touch screen. I made it fit perfectly ..put it on and the touch screen didn't work when it was on. : |
