I hope Hank finds out asap or its shown that Hank knew all along. I only worry what he'll do when he does find out?

Does it confront Walt in a 'civil' manner or would hank just straight out arrest him.

I bet what some of us predicted a while back ends up being the case. He finds out but is unable to act on it the way he would like to because it makes him look bad. Walt threatens to spin a story to the DEA about how Hank helped him, and Walt can be all I paid his medical bills in return when he was rehabbing. Etc etc...That way Hank can find out and they can have super tension boiling without an arrest having to happen.

No matter what an arrest makes no sense, because then the show is basically over. So maybe if it happens in the final episode. But that seems anticlimactic after seeing the M60.

I think Hank will definitely discover Walt, but I bet they'll figure out a clever breaking bad-ish way to make it play out.

Hank has a decision to make. Merkert had his career ruined because he played golf with Fring a couple of times. Imagine the shitstorm Hank would find himself in professionally if it was discovered his brother-in law was THE meth kingpin of the country. And personally, the prospect of devastating Marie, crushing Flynn, ruining Holly's future and potentially implicating Skyler in illegal activities looms large. The reasons for him to keep quiet are just as compelling as they are for Skyler if not more so.

see that's what's so insane. Maybe Hank finds out, tells walt to run and change his identity. Walt does it. BUT THEN HE COMES BACK DUNDUNDUNUDNASDAS.D

Still can't even possibly imagine how this show will end.

I honestly think Walt Jr. is gonna kill himself soon due to his depression, or if he'll overdose on meth that Walter cooked, he wouldn't steal it from Walt, he would just buy it from a dealer. If one of Walter's kids dies, it won't be directly from Walt's business.

This is why Hank will have to kill Walt.

There's a nasty simmering tension that's developed between Hank and Mike that seems like it could lead somewhere. One of those two guys, if not both, will not make it out of the series alive, and I'm willing to bet that the other plays a direct part in that.

Having the discovery as a cliffhanger is EVEN WORSE. :lol

Hank's moment of realization will probably mark the end of the 8th episode. Wouldn't surprise me at all. I expect that episode's final shot to be a look at Hank's face as the gravity of what he's uncovered dawns on him.

I'll have a moment of orgasm, probably 5 minutes long. Then I'll come back to earth and realise I'll only see the following scene a year later. That will be some tough shit.

Every scene with Skylar was painful/hilarious in the wrong way.

Every scene with Jesse and Walt was fucking great.

I don't care if Skylar saves a bus full of puppies, cures cancer, and diverts an earth destroying asteroid. I just want her to do it off my fucking screen. Talk about the turd in the punch bowl in terms of acting and writing.

I think Walt might kill himself in the end.

Tried and Failed.

If that gun had been loaded in episode 1, none of us would be here.

I think Walt might kill himself in the end.

If he realises his attempt to finally have his own business venture that makes him millions of dollars actually drove his only friend away and had most of his family killed... probably, yeah.

That's what I think will happen.

Walt's too desensitized and his ego is too big for him to kill himself at this point. If he dies it's either cancer or getting killed Scarface style imo

Weird, I don't remember that.

Then again, he might be too delusional and emotionless to kill himself at this point though.

He's already delusional to a certain degree. But he did say this in 'Buyout' : this business is all I have left. And you wanna take it away from me?

Obviously you could argue he was saying it to manipulate Jesse. But think about, no family, no business, nothing. And maybe cancer. I don't think he would just wait until death came.

Here's a possible turn in the next episode

Walt goes to the meeting all badass-like, introduces himself, dude's impressed, shoots Mike dead and spares Jesse at Walt's request.

?

Damn, this thread has taken a hard anti-Walt turn over the past few weeks.

What?

Talking about Walt's impeding doom isn't anti Walt. And if you think Walt buying a machine gun during the flash forward is going to lead to a happy victory, well, be prepared for it not to be.

The dinner scene was one of the funniest scenes of the show. Brilliant acting from everyone. It's between this or Fifty-One for my favourite of the season thus far.

I was so goddamn worried for Mike during the scene where he tied up Walt. I kept picturing Walt grabbing the gun from his holster.

After watching it a second time, I'm convinced Mike dies by the end of the eighth episode. I can't imagine the last eight without him though.
I'm convinced of the same, what with the seed they laid of Todd's prison connections. He's developed into such an amazing presence in this show. I'd be sad to see him go.

Someone in this thread mentioned Mike has trouble following his own advice.

A a half season filled with half measures will be his end.

Yeah, Todd's prison connections bit was weird. And the way he nonchalantly lights up a cigarette next to Jesse and says, "Shit happens, huh?"

Matt Damon hasn't been this unnerving since The Talented Mr. Ripley.

Dude! don't blame "the thread' blame the show and it's protagonist...becoming an antagonist.

Why I think Tony Soprano is a lot better lead than Walter is becasue Tony was more self aware and conscious of his flaws than Walter is. Even though he blamed his abusive father and oppressive mother for lots of things, at least he knew he was leading a shitty life and knew that that's all he could do. Where as Walter is holding a 20 year old grudge that bruised his ego, and he is delusional, always thinking that, as long as he stays in the shadows no one else is in danger or is being hurt or going down with him. and there's somehow a higher moral high ground (a greater good) for his actions.

Tony grew up in the "Empire" (Uncle Junior) while Walter is trying to build "The Empire" when in reality he doesn't have the means , the people or the resources for it, and his ass should be back at teaching high school level Chemistry and taking care of his family.

Tony Bane - "You have merely adapted to The Empire, I was born in it!"

I wonder if Walt's plan is to sell the barrels being traced by the DEA who are conveniently off his back for 24 hours. That way he gets his competition arrested, keeps the stolen batch for himself and makes a hefty profit. I'm not sure what would stop the guys explaining everything to the DEA though; they could at least name Mike as being involved. Todd's prison connections?
