I don't know if it was the extra time, the different content, or just switching up who was at the wheel, but Sleeping Dogs looked more fun this time around. It's still not likely anything I'd ever buy, but my impressions of it are better after the new QL.
Not sure I'm feeling windows 8. Between what a friend of mine told me a while back and watching Jeff's QL, I just don't know. It doesn't look terrible, but it doesn't look like something I'd want. I wasn't one of the big XP people, but I think I'll be sticking with 7 for a while longer.

Man, alot of EX's lately.
Vinny + PC version for me. Actually, that QL is part of what prompted me to start building a new PC. I'm a total open-world junkie and Sleeping Dogs looks damn fine on PC.

Jeff pretty much said as much. Yeah, it is that time of the year when developers hit the road to show off their fall/winter stuff.
They are in the same building as Gamespot. They probably get 10x the amount of publisher/developer traffic coming in and out. Before developers had to go out of their way to specifically come to Giant Bomb. Now they're more central and adjacent to one of the biggest gaming websites in the world.
Brad was having trouble getting CS:GO to work on their computer, and the OMD2 QL is coming; Ryan has been playing it on Steam.

Blood Knights looks fucking awful. I'm not even sure why they posted the video it was 40 minutes of an awful game while Ryan awkwardly tried not to shit all over it while a guy with a confusing accent acted like exploding barrels were innovative and a great new feature.
QL EXs are the only ones I don't finish because unless it's someone like Johnny V with tron or double fine guys it is usually painful as fuck to listen to.

It already came out on the 14th. If Patrick was in the office last week we probably would have gotten a QL by now.
Truth. I feel like that opening movie pretty much set the tone of what to expect in the rest of the QL. I'm quite amazed that this game is getting some sort of advertising circuit at all, it looks like a B-tier PS2 game.

It sounds like their intentions were well placed, but the execution looks really lacking. I don't know how old of a build this could be, but I would like to think they fixed some things. The voice acting, while terrible, is fantastic.

Yep, same here. The EX QL's mostly seem like pure promotion/advertising for the dev to me.
especially this one, which is 90% a dude giving a press demo while Ryan goes "Ahuh"
Yeah, the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure QL should have been up 15 minutes ago.
Wouldn't be so bad if Jeff didn't think they were just as good as a Quick Look.
Also 'Blood Knights' sounds like a madeup game from the Simpsons. Like BONESTORM

Yeah, though I do like the EXs with John Drake or Brad Muir because they are both hilarious and awesome.
To be fair, Dance Central HAS to be a QLEX. Since Alex isn't there anymore, only Ryan is willing to put up with Kinect.

I sure am glad we won't be getting a Darksiders II or Transformers quick look any time soon. I'm just going to watch the Blood Knights QLEX on repeat because that is some quality-ass content.
