Yo I have the worst luck with lion, team always feeds. Also that stat cutoff is fairly recent. My 800 gpm/cs kunkka game isn't there, making me so mad.
This will probably also have a chilling effect on players dumping their sponsors every few weeks as a default reactionary response, which can be nothing but a positive development. Little by little it's becoming more lucrative to stay with a team and build its name in the long run.

That's pretty cool that you can use pennants in later tournaments as well. Makes a good investment that way.
They give you a better chance at loot. Glorious Glorious loot. And this is super special loot, which will link to specific events during a match, making each item a one of a kind master piece.
How do you get the loot though? Don't you have to watch the match? Or can you just buy it and get loot?
I haven't seen anything explicitly stating that pennant upgrades increase your chances of getting loot, are you sure this is the case?
This, is there something in the files that says that kirbs?

I still don't really get what the Pennant Upgrade is supposed to do for you personally, unless there is no effect and it's just to show extra support for a team.
The whole system is fucking genius though. It's definitely the right way to go moving forward for eSports.

It gives you a chance to get items when you are watching your team play. Moar hats and all that. I really wish I could pickup a Potm Bottom pennant though. Maybe next year.

Upgrades. Not the pennant itself. All it sounds like it does is up your fan count, so you represent 2+ fans instead of one.
Knowing that your supporting your favorite team even more isn't enough for you?

I think the pennants are a fantastic idea. I'm really impressed with the strides Valve is making in eSports, which I think has enormous untapped potential. Hope this ends up being lucrative, I want to see this become an industry trend/standard. (I want to buy a Mahvel pennant next Evo!!!)
So, what are the safe bets for someone with no knowledge of the competitive scene? I'm guessing Na'Vi...?
Also, either I'm pretty good with Night Stalker, or he's just a noob killer. I'm guessing it's the latter, since I often get destroyed by him myself. Any general tips on how to keep him from snowballing out of control?

Edit: vs nightstalker, buy wards, save a life.
Na'Vi, CLG, iG and LGD are probably the best bets.
Sit on him before the first night. When the first night comes, have defensive wards up and TP scrolls (cast TP after he uses Void since that spell has a mini stun)

So if I buy a pennant I must watch the game live? I can't watch a one-time replay or anything to get the item drops? It is very likely I will be working during the entire tournament.
EDIT: Nevermind, I realize how easy it would be to abuse pennants if you found the outcome later.

Necrolyte makes great bait apparently. Had a game where I was like 4|10|18. Bane had a fucking vendetta towards me and I kept getting focused in team fights. Which is good I guess, since it let the rest of my team clean up.
Sort of stuck with him though as my other options for this game were Alchemist and Weaver. Weaver I've played before and (s)he's just meh.
