Mass Effect 3: Leviathan Trailer [Out Now]

Did I see Brutes with jock straps towards the end?

As much as I love Mass Effect, I'm not getting this. At least all the DLC in ME2 had the promise of affecting stuff in ME3. What's this going to do? I already know how the game ends.

I don't want really want it.
However, collectively ME DLC represents a disproportionately large number of missions that would be in my 'Top 10 of the Series' list.

Lair of the shadow broker proved that they can do really interesting one off stories set in the universe with very little ties to the main story.

Although even Shadow Broker was more interesting since the Shadow Broker was someone who had been established in ME1 and then you had the whole Liara angle that was barely explored in the main game of ME2.

At this point the best place to go with the series would be a major GTA4 style expansion or a Fallout:New Vegas style sequel.

I wish more BioWare games that are going to bother with story DLC would model themselves after New Vegas' DLC. Laying the groundwork in the main game with interesting bits of lore and then having each DLC its own story but at the same time each DLC is in some way connected to each other so the DLC's themselves have their own story arc by the time you get to the last one.

Maybe the DLC will reintroduce Collectors near the end, which will give a good excuse to add them into multiplayer.

I know it aint happening, i just want more than 3 types of enemies in multiplayer.

Looks kind of cool, but I'm finding it hard to care about additional story content after beating the game and wrapping up the story already.

DLC is so forced for this game. Why go through this if I already know how it all ends. "go back in time and do this thing that's ultimately pointless". They should've been way more creative with this.

I bought all previous Mass effect dlc day one but that ship has sailed. The ending has soured me on the whole universe unfortunately.

It looks awesome and it's probably very well done if it's like the past ME Bioware DLC's.

I am not buying this.

I'm in the no buy camp as well, but I am super curious to see how this does given everything that has happened with this game. Not that Bioware would actually tell us if it bombs, but it would be a pretty good tell if their first paid dlc was their last. Even that is unlikely since they've probably got the next one in the pipeline already.

The only thing from Mass Effect as a universe that could get me to give Bioware more dollars is content that takes place after the end of Mass Effect 3, whether that is a new game or dlc for 3 with a different playable character. Of course post ending content almost requires choosing an ending to canonize.
well they could just put that lame green circuit filter on everything if you synthesized, and write around any consequences of the other choices if you didn't. What, no Geth around? Coincidence! Or, alternatively, they're all dead.

At the same time, I'm not sure I'm up for the potential rage/heartbreak of getting roped in for another Mass Effect yarn anyway.

The Omega DLC is also a day-one for me, whenever that's coming.

Yeah i really want to see Omega again, and if Aria is a temporary squadmate for the DLC, that's even better. I don't really care if it has no consequences or changes for the ending honestly. At best they will add a short clip showing Aria in a cockpit when the Alliance reach Earth and that will be it.

Put the game on Steam and give it controller support(like every other decent developer already does) and then maybe I'll bite.

Until then, I'll pass.

The underwater section does seem to be solo. Hope the soundtrack is good..

The music is being done by Sonic Mayhem. They worked on Mass Effect 3, Kasumi's Stolen Memory, Arrival, Borderlands and Tron: Evolution (among others).

I'm in the "I'll hold off until i hear the review of others" camp. As much as I want to give a reason to play ME3 again, I haven't had the will to do it.

Got all (2!) of the ME1 DLCs and all of the ME2 DCLs. I'm passing on this shit, not just because ME3s ending sucked, but also because it just doens't look interesting. I played a bit of the ME3 MP and there's only so many times you can kill these same enemies over and over without something else (something significant) to make you want to come back.

The trailer was good, if I didn't already know the ending of this trilogy I'd be more pumped up to download it day 1. I may eventually get it, after I've gotten over the disappointment from the ME3 endings.

Take Back Omega DLC has been mentioned by Bioware. I want that one expressly because Aria would be center stage.

I'm honestly surprised we got Leviathan before Omega. I mean, who ever heard of this DLC before the leak that came with the extended cut? I'm thinking we got Leviathan just to answer some more Reapers questions and the next one will probably be Omega.

I might get this. Right now the biggest thing holding me back from any ME3 content(aside from my wallet) is the size of it. I'm still on a 20GB launch drive...

I hope it's because the Omega DLC is more elaborate than Leviathan.

Looks pretty good, gonna probably wait for a sale at the end of the year. Gotta save my points for Jet Set Radio.
