And Q3A, the best music to kill to.
damn, I didn't know.
And Q3A, the best music to kill to.
how could they make a DLC that happen after that? They never made you control someone else other than him/her in the past.Shepard is dead in the end,
I downloaded the free extended ending and can't be assed enough to play through it. Doubt I'm going to pay cash money to do the same.
I think I'm done with the ME series. Sad way to go out.
Just call me when we get Aria as a playable character and we take back Omega DLC mission. Don't give a shit about anything else.
EDIT: Aria better be playable for the rest of the main game once you complete the mission. No bullshit.
Am i wrong in thinking that, by reading some comments here, some people would have never bought any pre-ending ME3 DLC, no matter how good or bad the ending itself could have been, simply because the trilogy story is over?
That's silly.
I would have bought any DLC if the ending had been complete at launch. Perhaps just to support Bioware in doing more SP content. But since I know they don't really care for quality, I have no issue not giving them one penny.![]()
I might pick it up on the cheap. I'm way more interested in playing as a new character or something like that Aria thing.
Or better yet announces a new series. Mass Effect is a fantastic universe and could use some new whatever, threat, or something.
That's a good question. In mass effect 2 I used the dlc as a excuses for additional playthroughs, so I never really played them after the story, but they still carried over into my saves for 3. I think I'd have been more likely to pick them up if the ending hadn't been such a letdown, but not as certain as in mass effect 2.Am i wrong in thinking that, by reading some comments here, some people would have never bought any pre-ending ME3 DLC, no matter how good or bad the ending itself could have been, simply because the trilogy story is over?
They should make theending canon, and then create a cyberpunk Mass Effect.synthesis
Sure. Why not a Mass Effect RTS game or something? You've already got a bunch of different playable races. Revamp the choice system and go back into another RPG or give me a FPS.They should make theending canon, and then create a cyberpunk Mass Effect.synthesis

Damn so soon. I wont buy right away but maybe next week.
Glad to hear that the DLC will add an additional choice on the crucible. "An elevator ride for Shepard to fight Harbinger in London."
in my fanfic

What? I think you got it wrong. They never said ME3 was the last Mass Effect game. They said its the last game of Shepard story.
I definitely think that you'll see prequels and spin-offs but always without Shepard. And nothing set after ME3 end. Or they'll pick some kind of bullshit cannon ending.
Some kind of Uncharted like game in space.
Mass Effect: Archangel would be interesting. They did say they were interested into going into the past. As if that means during the time Shepard was "dead" in ME2 or during old wars like the first Contact War or the Krogan Rebellions... that remains to be seen, but i figure we won't know until next year or even 2014.
Do you really expect them to make a game that's set post ending? I mean I suppose they could just pick one and say that's the one that's canon. They're not above dismissing any choices the player has made. What? I think you got it wrong. They never said ME3 was the last Mass Effect game. They said its the last game of Shepard story.

More or less.
There's also the point of urgency and scale. The scale of the game is a galactic threat. Any DLC that is less than that is going to feel like a downgrade. The Extended Cut DLC expanded on the story in the only way that really mattered: forward. The galactic threat is over. But there's not much room to escalate the threat when the Reapers are here already, and there's a desperate, but plausible plan in the works to counter them. I mean, what more do you need?
ME2 had it easier with making DLC relevant as it was a more personal story. Lair of the Shadow Broker was the Liara DLC. Which was perfectly fitting for the game. A friend is in trouble, go help her. Like you did with so many other characters. Arrival then ended it all with a reminder that from here on out, it's all about the Reapers. Setting up ME3.
So any story DLC that isn't about the direct path to defeating the Reapers is going to feel like a bit of a detour. Even Javik seemed a bit of a detour, but he made up for it by being a a squadmate. Unless you actually recruit Leviathan, making Shepard's unlikely alliance even that more unlikely, I just don't see why Shepard should bother. Same with Omega. He has a fleet, he has a plan, it's time to take back Earth. Leviathan and Omega? Yeah, it can wait. the Reaper invasion? It can't.
But then the game ends, rather definitively. And guess what? With the, then Omega is safe, and whatever Leviathan was is irrelevant.Reapers defeated
Bioware basically painted themselves into a DLC corner with the way ME3 ends. ME2's open ending was a much better starting point for DLC.
Well that is what I meant by the series being definitively ended. As i said in my other post, it's more likely that the next ME will be set in the past since the differences between the 3 endings are rather significant in their impact on the galaxy, and unless they go and say "The Destroy ending is canon!", it's impossible to make a post ending ME.
Pretty much why I won't be buying it. I hope BioWare learns something from all this crap.
