Broke ass Forza fans, get a job playa!

I see the many of the people complaining about DLC and LE versions are the same ones that continue to buy LE versions and DLC.

I bought FM4 LE because I was blackmailed into buying it if I wanted to own the complete game. At least FM3's LE had some decent tat with it (the key ring and flash drive). FM4's LE was pathetic, yet still sold out everywhere. Publishers now know that withholding game content is enough to guarantee sales of LE versions, especially if you also get a little crown next to your name so that nobody thinks you are a tight-arse. I bought the Bioshock and Lost Planet LEs and got tin cases and a little statue with each. Pretty nifty, and the game content was exactly the same as the vanilla versions. I bought them because I wanted the gifts, not because the game experience would be lessened if I didn't. Those days are gone for good now. It's corporate blackmail all the way from now on, and if you don't like it - tough shit.

And publishers scratch their heads about why piracy is so rife...

I just find people being overdramatic over a small amount of money funny.

It's not just the money, it's the principle behind it. I used to consider having to pay extra to get the full game as some kind of "stealth tax", but there's really nothing covert about it at all. It's daylight fucking robbery.

I am amazed that you would get so worked up over this. Maybe I'm just getting old, because I don't see the big deal.

would you see the big deal if you had to buy the LE to get fan favourite tracks like the nurburgring? or even doubling the price of games? you have to draw the line somewhere otherwise they will take full advantage

lol at this thread!

I think Turn 10 needs to show something substantial already. The pitch forks are out and the mob is demanding satisfaction...

Just what I was thinking. Other than these shots of cars in the same position over and over again we need a bust of PR and video. Actually, we need a vidoc-type video.

How about a 'making of' video like the Alps one?
"Sorry, no money left for new tracks - we blew it all sending ten people to the Alps for two weeks to see if it looks just like the photos on Google Images. Guess what? It does! Wooooooooo!"

dude be careful flyingpiranha will report you!

fuck this emphasis on cars. MS/T10 have really jumped all over that bullet point.

The forza LCEs have been getting weaker and weaker. I think I'll just be picking up the regular version of Horizon. The VIP status was a joke in forza 4.

It was a pretty solid way to earn some unicorns, when they gave them away with a few of the monthly VIP rivals.

But yeah, I might skip the LCE of Horizon. They'll release the cars as DLC at some point, and I believe all but the R8 Spyder are in Forza 4 already.

You are blatantly stealing my arguments from the original Forza 4 thead which earned me a title of the troll at Shin's premises.

I demand a compensation!

Matte paint confirmed.

[FORZA HORIZON CAR REVEAL] 2010 Ford Focus RS500 -- In its matte black “foil” paint the Focus RS500 stands out in a crowd, and it should because only 500 were produced. Individually numbered, and nearly impossible to acquire, the RS500 will get you the attention you seek. With looks like no other production vehicle, the RS500 will follow the rest of the Fords to don the rare "RS" moniker as a legend in its class.

[FORZA HORIZON CAR REVEAL] 2000 Nissan Silvia spec-R -- Driving this JDM masterpiece can be a transformative experience – in the real world or in Forza Horizon. With enough power to conquer any road in Horizon’s Colorado and the kind of sleek lines normally reserved for chorus line girls, the Silvia turns heads wherever it goes.

I can offer you my Dan G plush toy and Turn 10 branded potato peeler from the FM5 LCE if you want. I'm keeping the download codes for Spa and Bathurst, though.

Deal?

At some point in Forza Horizon you drive into a vortex and end up in Bathurst. The colors start to get natural when driving there. No Codemasters yellow filter.

Well the game world looks more alive. Look what's in the sky... People!
Hot air balloons, stunt planes, TV broadcast helicopters... Bring them on! I love stuff like this in racing games. Makes the whole environment seem so much more alive. Even that solitary blimp slowly patrolling the skies in GT5 brings a smile to my face every time I see it.

anyone remember that HUGE one in Need For Speed 3 Hot Pursuit?...it flew like right next to you, along the pier.

Just wanted to let you know that there are others out there who refuse to gobble up shit from a publisher's asshole in the form of bullshit DLC.

Keep fighting the good fight.
