- WHERE'S MY MEXICAN MIDFIELDER

Dunno. I want a left winger, though. I don't see this CB interest as a sane move; if Nani is genuinely sulking and Young has a phobia about running forward at speed, we will be wanting summat.

CM priority, obviously, and we'll wait and see if Büttner is a mentalist down that side. But it's something.

I really don't know why Mancini is bothering with a 3-5-2 his players aren't comfortable in, and which he doesn't seem to realize the strengths and weaknesses. And I certainly don't know why he persisted with it for as long as he did yesterday, with fat Kolo being exposed repeatedly.

Maybe he saw Conte and Prandelli being successful with it and wanted to be in their gang?

Dembele would be a great choice, not just saying because he manhandled us last weekend. :p We need man of steel in midfield. But it could all be alright when Rio or Smalling come back so Carrick can get out of the CB role, where he's struggling immensely.

What luck, season starts and we are already on near the top on physioroom.com.

You know you need to have three really capable CBs for it to work well. What he had was Kolo, who hadn't played for a long while, and Zabaleta who has never played CB before. For some reason they worked well though, goals weren't their fault.

De Jong was very surplus though, a bit weird to see from him. Neither Milner or Kolarov were provided with passes so they were never put to use either. Nasri also didn't have a great game.

Yaya always has a slow start though, had last season as well. He's very important for this formation, to provide Kolarov, Milner and Nasri with passes. He doesn't seem to be 100% fit yet, but he'll be there.

De Jong and Balotelli needs to ask themselves why they even bothered to show up, it was like playing with 9 players.

People please stop crowning Barcelona as champions after 2 games. The inevitable Barca away slump is coming and Madrid get better as the season progresses. We were incredibly lucky (read shitty) to get 3 points gifted to us yesterday.

It's a long season. So cut it out :)

That's pretty much what Modric did before we molded him into a CM. He started out wide left. There are no CMs of Modric's talents that we could afford or would want to come here, we will buy a talented young player like Isco or Willian, who play further forward, and slowly mold them into Modric's successor. While that is happening we will play a more solid midfield pairing of Sandro + M'Vila/Parker.

Thanks for this, didn't know that, very interesting.

I think Isco's more than talented and young enough to learn such a role, but it's still going to take a bit of time, for sure. I'm shocked more teams aren't after Isco considering Malaga's plight, and his age. He's class.

Never seen Willian, although my friend bought him for Udinese on our FM game and he's almost a win button, scoring pretty much a goal a game.

M'Vila would be a good signing in the meantime though, given Rennes seem to have dropped his price considerably.

I can only speak from a personal perspective but La Liga is such a dull competition that I wouldn't even muster up the effort to make a prediction. I couldn't really care less if it's Real or Barca. It will be close, it will be one of them, and no matter who wins it Barcelona will dominate the Classicos. Yawn.

Was the last time someone else won it Rafa's Valencia?

Welcome back Wilbury!

btw, that Stevan Jovetic twitter account isn't verified. No real photos or anything to prove it either. Most probably fake.

Yeah it's fake!

And speaking of fake accounts, fake Pogba closed his twitter account a few days ago after getting busted.

He tweeted this during the game "PaulPogba_6: To fans, I have my blackberry with me :-) (via Twitter for IPhone)"

A couple of things from Football Weekly, they say Rooney's looking to be out for 2 months now, because the gash went into the muscle. Although I can see this being a blessing in disguise, as United can begin to mould the team around Kagawa and RVP without any distractions. And it definitely isn't a plus for Liverpool fans, Rooney's always been dogshit at Anfield, and last time RVP was there he bagged two.

And they're talking about how lightweight Villa are, and how they need leadership. Anyone with me?

His hearts already at the Velodrome

On United, if we're to use Kagawa and RVP more effectively, we need to play the ball into their feet. Kagawa already touched on it and at Arsenal, RVP scored the majority of his goals with the ball played into his feet. The the team needs to adapt to them and stop looking to use the wing at every chance.

They've not established muscular damage yet. There's apparently a wait before you can see what's up with that.

Horrible injury, though. And if Rodallega was wearing some kind of fancy studs/blades, then fuck them off. Freak accident or not.

I bet Newcastle fans are sleeping easy with Arsene Wenger talking about Check Tiote on the official Arsenal website.

Dont' know where the Guardian are coming from then. I still think a little time out for Rooney would act as a blessing in disguise for United on a whole; give him some time to trim down, and give United time to bring Van Persie and Kagawa into the fold.

Agreed. And driving through the middle, when Carrick is back up and we have the security of a proper CB pairing, should be good.

Need Raf to keep his head, though. He's very quickly going to be in bigger games than home v Fulham, and style going forward won't be enough.

I am now on page 178 and seen some hilarious shit. Morsel chastising someone for acting like a 16 year old and then saying the phrase 'take a chill pill' made me spit out my drink.

Also my mate told Dion Dublin to fuck off while Kaiser Chiefs were on and I said sorry Dion and he waved.

Jovetic's agent apparently said that he received a €30 mill bid, and will sit down with the Fiorentina board.

30 is the buyout clause.

Based Marwood or Marry?

Brondby just lost one of their talents to Inter :/ The only thing we've been good at recently is producing talents and now we're giving them away.

Do City really need another forward right now? Would have thought they're pretty well stocked with their 4 strikers. Aguero is back soon too.

I think we'll see two or three new players in at City this week.

Sinclair is one.

My heart is aching for De Rossi too but meh.

I want to know who's going to occupy the no. 11 shirt.

If Sinclair gets it I'll be a bit mad. Cause I want a MASSIVE signing.
