From a Liverpool perspective I think it's bollocks. Runs contradictory to everything we've heard about the Carroll transfer this summer.
Interesting to hear how both Iniesta and Cesc are struggling to fill in the Xavi position.

Yeah, I actually think this could be a bit of a problem over the next couple of years for Barca if age starts to catch up with Xavi.
When they signed Cesc I thought they'd try and mould him in that role but they've let the dynamic aspects of his game which developed in England flourish and used him further up field.
Xavi is such a special player. The way he plays and the consistency to his game is amazing. As good as Iniesta is, he just isn't the type of player who can conduct the game like Xavi does.
I didn't know he took penalties.

He took one against Chelsea in the Carling Cup and fucking blasted it right down the middle, and had it saved. Absolute lug, trust Carroll not to try and finish with any finesse.

Someone has done a bit of digging and found out that Venkys often used a Portuguese bloke called Henrique Colista as an advisor, he was recently the Vietnam team manager. Someone looked at the teams he managed and it turns out he signed a certain Steve Kean as a player for Acedamia in Portugal, his son also owns a sports agency.
Hope someone gets to the bottom of all this soon

Montolivo? Cool. Not bad transfer window, but it wasn't an upgrade on what you already had. Although most of them were old as hell and simply had to move on already.
But as a neutral, I have no idea what Milan could achieve with this new team.

Seedorf, Gattuso and Inzaghi were too old and objectively useless and Nesta said that he couldn't keep up with Serie A/CL football. MVB wanted to return to PSV, Ibra and Thiago were sold to fix our balance.
Seeing Maxi and Merkel leaving was heavy, they could've been really helpful. Oh well.
It was a downgrade, especially with Thiago gone our defense is going to suffer a lot, plus Ibra was the center of Allegri's tactics, he has to come up with something different this year or he won't last.
Honestly, we're far from Juve and won't be able to fight for the Scudetto. A 2nd place is more likely (seeing how the other teams in Serie A play I'm not that worried, if we were in England things would've been far more complicated), but ending with an Europa League spot wouldn't be so surprising.

Correct, but we bought the remaining half from his co-ownership from Genoa (€7.5m plus Merkel, our most expansive transfer this summer). Muntari as well isn't a new player, he was on loan last year and his contract with Inter expired on July, when we signed him for free.
