They probably sell more to non-Bayern fans for some crazy voodoo shit lol

I don't think martinez will care much. he's probably used to bullshit from the media and fans in spain.

true, i mean i dont know it's kinda exciting because of his price tag but i havent even seen him play (i didnt follow the Europa League). and he seems to be the the only football player without a highlight reel on youtube, unbelievable. there's just no way he can live up to the expectations?!? ...

I haven't watched much from him either but the fact that he's a regular in Spain's 23 squad should explain everything...

Somehow I wish Bayern can pull off the deal....Would be an even greater achievement for us if we manage to snatch the champion this year(After all the money Bayern spent). Plus it's always fun to have more competition in the league...

From what I've seen, Martinez is a solid DM but not a spectacular one. As long as Bayern plays well and wins, it'll be "Martinez did his job" in the papers. But when you are losing a match or even two in a row, yeah, I expect Martinez to get trashed in the media. The only good thing about this is that he can't speak German, anyway, and won't hear and read as much shit as Gomez did, for example.

For some reason, seeing a top Spanish talent go to the Bundesliga just seems strange, and I can't explain why. I guess it's just not something we see often.

this CL playoff remains me of our Europa league qualifier during Klopp's first year....The best player on the pitch at that time was Hajnal, so much has changed in a few years, for good of course ;)

Fulham are trying to kick our players off the park here by the sounds of it.

Premiership side come to play a Championship outfit, and can't handle a team keeping the ball and getting at them.

Poor effort.

EDIT: And thats it, full time. 1-0 win for us, through to the next round. Nice Premiership scalp and keeps our winning habbit going. Good nights work.

Udinese look dead tired. Always a great idea to start Serie A two weeks after everybody else, FIGC. Well, good for us. :D Hope they make tonight though.

Looks like we're steering towards Cardozo ... Sigh.

Yes, it is indeed strange. Or Bayern paying 40m for a defensive midfielder, even more so after they just spent 17m on Luiz Gustavo last year. This whole transfer feels wrong on so many levels :D

While Bayern is always different from other clubs in Bundesliga...They can always afford the top talents....It's just a matter of whether their board of directors are comfortable with writing big checks or not. Perhaps our recent dominance in the league has urged them to change their transfer policy a bit. I recalled years ago when Aguero and tevez were still playing in Argentina Bayern was actually one of the first clubs that shown interest... But they wouldn't pay anything more than 20M for a youngster who hadn't proved himself in Europe. How time has changed......

Had the greatest 1.5 months ever. But my gf has returned to her place again :(

Guess its time for more gaf support again. Im still not believing dat martinez deal. This shit has been going for too long :/

I think the idea is to have a DM with creation/passing skills. Just look at the first bundesliga match, Gustavo only had work like 2-3 times in the whole match. Luiz Gustavo is great against BVB, Real Madrid, etc but useless against smaller sides.

A Schweinsteiger-Javi midfield would be Barcelona-esque.

Gustavo is a better DM than Javi, but Javi is a more complete player.

The Sinclair thing is just weird. Chelsea has a sell-on fee so City raised their bid to 6.2 (I'm guessing Chelsea must have a 20-25% clause in place) from 5 so that Swansea still get their 5.. but then they reject it? Puzzling to say the least. I wonder if this supposed Walcott interest is legitimate or a means to say hey, we'll move on if you don't sell the kid.
