Quick question, can sahin play on Thursday????
I think so, but I'd rather see him saved for Sunday.
While Bayern is always different from other clubs in Bundesliga...They can always afford the top talents....It's just a matter of whether their board of directors are comfortable with writing big checks or not. Perhaps our recent dominance in the league has urged them to change their transfer policy a bit. I recalled years ago when Aguero and tevez were still playing in Argentina Bayern was actually one of the first clubs that shown interest... But they wouldn't pay anything more than 20M for a youngster who hadn't proved himself in Europe. How time has changed......
Interestingly Ballague mentioned that Dortmund had placed a bid in for Isco alongside Spurs. I don't think Malaga want to sell though.

I doubt you can find a better midfield than Luiz Gustavo-Kroos-Schweinsteiger (not counting Barcelona). Bringing Javi Martínez is just going to make it better.

Sure, but it would still be a level or two below that of Barcelona.

They're untouchable.

I can sense a shitty goal from Udinese incoming, would be so unfair if they somehow manage to advance.....

I doubt that though....Most of our transfer targets are in the 5-6M range and Reus was more of a one off deal (home grown talent plus Kagawa is leaving).. We still have around 40M debt so don't think we can afford him....

Fuck him. He's shite. I'd love to see him out of the club. He is so useless. He cannot dribble, his first touch is non existent, his passing is rubbish, he can barely read the game. How he has managed to stay at Arsenal this long is mind blowing. Thank God the Ox is here so we can finally move on.

Yup. I know the Ox sees himself as a central player, but so does Theo. He'll play wide this year most of the time, now that we have Cazorla. I'm not sure what the deal is with Theo, but I was really pleased to see he started on the bench against Stoke; he came on and was pretty effective running at defenders, but for far too long has he been an automatic starter just because of his speed and his "potential." He's just such a limited player that can be devestating, but rarely can be. Wenger needs to either sell him or use him far more sparingly imo. a fee of 12-15m would be good business for both parties, I think.

edit: and I like Chamakh. Wenger's insistence on a single striker formation + RVP's unprecedented year and a half without injury ruined him; he should've been another tool in the squad to use, but instead we relied on RVP for everything. Hell, I like Bendtner—good squad player to have, even if he obviously doesn't see himself as such.

We'll never replace Gerrard, but if we can bring in a quality young number 10 next year to go with Allen/Lucas/Henderson/Sahin (if he decides to stay) then we're set for a long time.

I'm happy with our midfield options for now, but those 3 were world-class in their positions, and all in their prime. I wish I'd appreciated it more at the time

The Sinclair thing is just weird. Chelsea has a sell-on fee so City raised their bid to 6.2 (I'm guessing Chelsea must have a 20-25% clause in place) from 5 so that Swansea still get their 5.. but then they reject it? Puzzling to say the least. I wonder if this supposed Walcott interest is legitimate or a means to say hey, we'll move on if you don't sell the kid.

It's puzzling that Swansea want more than £5 million for Sinclair?

Yeah it's better than nothing. So we potentially could end up with Giroud, Podolski & Park up front?

At that point we'd have to pick up another striker, especially if Theo is going which it looks like he is. Park is off on loan as well I think, there were some rumours of him going to Celta Vigo for the season.

Still can't believe the transfer window is this close to shutting and we still need to bring in 3-4 players, I thought we'd learned our lesson last year.

With the amount of players that could be going out this week it worries me that we'll be left short in a number of positions.

Maybe this is finally Theo's year and Wenger will reward his loyalty with a run of games as a central striker.

Maybe not.

No, not that they want more just the whole way the transfer has gone about. Jenkins acted as if City had not made a bid yesterday. The fee had reportedly been agreed upon for nearly 2 weeks now so what happened and why is he claiming that City hadn't made a bid yet? I really couldn't care less about Sinclair personally so if it doesn't happen, no biggie. They will lose him for nothing though if they don't move him in the next few days and no one else has publicly shown interest (or even been rumored).

3-4 players? Wut? Maybe a DM and a winger would do imo. Which positions are you looking at?

Bild reporting Martinez will sign for Bayern tomorrow.

And yup, you guessed it, it's all Marwood's fault.
Congrats to Marwood, he's been brilliant this transfer window, a clear master stroke in signing Rodwell. May he keep this role at City for the foreseeable future.

#BasedMarwood.

Agreed with Swansea? Who reported that?

Huw Jenkins: "We haven't actually agreed any deal with Man City at the moment. I would have thought if they really wanted to sign Scott Sinclair they would have dealt with it a little bit better than they have. But that's their business. But it has dragged on too long and I hope one way or another it will be concluded the next couple of days."

Confirmed on BBC Radio 5Live after speaking to Martin Jol - Fulham have accepted a bid from Tottenham for Mousa Dembélé.

Froggie please.
