Any other alternative to Dembele that United can get? Only ones I can think off are M'Vila and Fellaini.

We will be Pot 1 and Braga and Benfica will be Pot 2. We are ascending in Uefa ranking and are only 2 points behind Italy. PORTUGAL! :)

Ibra left Milan this season, which means a guaranteed CL success for them. But it won't matter I guess, since Juve will crash out in the group stages. :(

In what pot is Juve in Yurt? Sorry but in this case, I really want us to pass Italy in the ranking :p. Oh and it would be great if we met you guys in the group stages ;)

i don't really know why united fans want dembele now we have kagawa and van persie. he's talented but the team is near unbalanced already. the problem with the midfield isn't with players operating between the lines or surging forwards to create chances through the middle anymore, it's with the lack of a tackling midfielder to adequately protect the defense as much as carrick tries and scholes being too old to rely on as a deeper lying player focused on ball retention and distributing it to the scores of attacking players.

Fulham OS says Dembele is had his medical tonight. Damn this is exciting.

Dembele and Sandro. You don't fuck with those two.

Hard to tell really... If we're gonna boot out Nani, we better do it quick and invest that money.
If Zenit have actually bid £25m, it's possible Fergie would sell. Not too sure on who/if they'll invest in the team again this summer.

For CM, there was apparently an agreement for Herrera (Mexican CM/DM) to join in January so there's the possibility Fergies happy with the team for now and then will bring him into the team in January.

Why are players joining Spurs when they're missing out on CL football? I'm having a hard time seeing them break into the top 4 even this season.

I'm terrified that the Spurs fairytale will end with them having a run of bad results and AVB getting a humiliating sacking.

I reiterate - I quite want him and them to do well, just so long as it's not against us.

If we get Real Madrid again this year I'm going to Madrid to punch someone in the mouth and then leave. Done with that. Give me something fresh.

City, United, Chelsea, Spurs.

That's the top 4 this season IMO. Even before their 2 draws, I thought Arsenal would be lucky to finish top 6 let alone top 4.

They were doing amazing last season, until Redknapp got distracted. You really don't know with AVB also.

Dembele is good...I just don't think he is the player we need. Granted our midfield is kinda pants so he would have been an upgrade, sure.

But, I think we need players who operate deeper on the pitch. We need a solid DM option and a deep lying playmaker type player. Somebody who can what Scholes has been doing, who sits and dictates tempo. Our problem is controlling games, to do that we need players who are strong and can help win the ball back quickly and snuff out opposition attacks, and players who can pass the ball superbly well and consistently for a full 90 minutes, every week.

Players like M'Vila, Modric, Sahin, Asamoah are the ones who have moved in this window (M'Vila hasn't moved yet..) who we really could have done with. What Dembele showed is that our midfield is easy to break through. We need a player who will stop that from happening. Maybe Dembele is that guy...I just don't see that as his position.

We play with such high wingers and attacking full backs that committing more players forwards from midfield isn't really what we should be looking to do.

3rd choice he said. If we do bring in another striker then I expect Defoe would leave.

I'd be fine with that. Defoe has worked hard under AVB but he will never be ideal as a lone striker. I really like the look of Aubameyang from St Etienne, hopefully the rumoured interest was accurate.

How have the club found themselves in this position with RVP and Walcott? If you're willing to sell them, then have a replacement prepared. Really poor management to see how things are going. Frankly, its an embarrassment.

It's a good thing midfield ability doesn't exactly correlate with physical presence.

See: Modric.

I don't even know why I'm arguing though, Dembele's a monster. Fantastic signing.

Luiz Gustavo, but i think Bayern will retain him as a defensive specialist and sell Tymo instead. A 15-20m offer might do the job, though.

Haha no, Luiz Gustavo is the most important player to stop teams like Dortmund, Real Madrid or even Barcelona. He's obviously not for sell.

They can have Tymo, tho :p

Spurs have cracked the Top 4 twice in the last three seasons. They're there or thereabouts when it comes to Champions League qualification. Levy run the club very well so the also have money to spend.

They're an enticing club.

I'm really wondering what's stopping Fergie in getting M'Vila. He represents wholly value in the market.

I don't know maybe Fergie sees that Carrick is dependable enough in CM to get the job done. So far 1 loss and 1 win with a fucked up defense.

I don't know why Arsenal fans are so content to see him leave. He scored 11 and assisted 13 last season; considering how Arsenal have begun the season I don't think that's to be scoffed at, especially when Gervinho's starting ahead of him.
Is it a loan deal?

Yes.

We also have the state of the art training facility opening in the next few weeks, it's one of the best in Europe and the journos who were shown around said it was the best of all the PL clubs. The new stadium is also coming. We are a club on the up.
