I get the people laughing at Cesar going to QPR but it's not too far off what Man City did.

The only differences as I see it are:
  • QPR's stadium is incredibly small.
  • City's backers had considerably more money and the majority of their buying took place a long time before FFP would come in to play.

So in that instance it's sure to call them crazy. The Wage/Turnover ratio is incredible. However, knowing that next year is the year you must remain in the EPL due to the huge bump up in TV share maybe it would be crazy not to do everything you can to not get relegated.

Let me say, I agree their model is unsustainable but perhaps there is a method to their madness.

He actually said that? wut? o_O

Full quote:
"I have many dreams at QPR," Cesar told the Daily Mail. "To play well for the fans, the manager, the chairman and myself. And eventually finish in the top four and qualify for the Champions League and then one day win the Premier League.

"It is possible. A few years ago nobody believed Manchester City would ever win the Premier League. So we have to dream. When you dream, things can happen. That's the reason I came here."

Cheers lads. As for United's group, while it would be great fun to see United and Juve in a group, I'd like to see us both progress and the danger is too high that way :( so I would like the easiest group so we can still find a way to fuck it up

Manchester United
Dynamo Kiev
Anderlecht
FC Nordsjaelland

Apparently Zlatan had his first row with a PSG team mate (Nene) on yesterdays training, according to French press. So everything is as it should.

Pretty fun reading Milan forums about De Jong.

He got pretty good passing accuracy stats with City.

He was the 15th player on Premier League on pass success percentage in 09/10 - 84.9%

Jumped to third in 10/11 - 90%

And to second in 11/12 - 92,3%

Very underrated possession player most people think of him as just breaking legs but if you watch when he plays he thinks ahead at least 3 or 4 steps. An intelligent DM with a footballing brain....

Wish someone could tell them 98% of them were sideways or backwards, or just handing it over to Yaya.

"TEAM PHOTO: Mario, @EdDzeko and Aleks chilling before the first team shot #MCFC http://t.co/jFe9Ud3G"

@mcfc

Haha. He's there with his socks down not giving a frig.

Thing is, we saw against Germany what a brilliant striker he can be. He just needs to do it more often.

We also saw it against United in the FA cup semi final, when he lead the line because Tevez was injured. He put himself about and worked hard for the team.

Then against United when we won 1-6 he got himself two goals and got in behind Evans who had to bring him down.

So yeah, when he wants he's unplayable. He just doesn't do it enough.

But you can point to any random player who was unplayable during so and so. Doesn't mean anything if they don't at least illustrate that on a regular basis. Mario, to me, doesn't look like he even wants to be on the pitch half the time.

Sky: Manchester City have signed Maicon for €4m + bonuses.

Richards, Zabaleta and Maicon? Eh?

Also you think Sinclair would have learnt from
Chelsea the grass isn't always greener. Expect him to be treated exactly like Johnson.

And then get sold to a lower club in a few years after earning X millions at City? It's a calculated move for him. He can't lose. He'll be where he is now in a few years, but he wont ever progress career wise.

The new Wayne Bridge.

He will probably be happy just collecting a paycheck.
