I'm currently in a league where Darren Sproles is projected to get 80 a week due to KR/PR. I missed him by one spot, because I don't think any one of us except the Commish knew about kick returners being ridiculously over-valued. And he still didn't pick up Sproles. Doesn't make sense, man

Have you learned anything that you didn't know beforehand as we approach the 4-hour mark?
ehhhh, I know Yahoo is down on a few guys I've hyped up. Will it affect my draft? Yes and no.
Lastly, that bench depth seems suspect given that if it's truly matching NQ4's starter setup (QB,RB,RB,WR,WR,TE,W/T,D/ST,K), why would you want 6 RBs to cover two starting slots and no bench depth to speak of for your 4 receiver slots who effectively have to start each and every week?
Because of this I can't see myself drafting any more than 4 RBs. 5 maybe if someone falls ridiculously down the draft.

Clearly it doesn't share NQ4's 16 owners.
It also boasts one extra bench spot.

It's a 12 team keeper league with the standard bench slots for an ESPN league. In our league any player that is drafted is keepable, which means there is a good mix between value (Murray was drafted in the 11th) and expense (Foster cost me my 1st round pick.)

What, did we change flex? Goddamn it.

We have standard W/R/T flex, actually, which means that you can start 3RB and as a result, true starters are pretty valuable. *Especially* guys drafted in later rounds; I mean one guy in our league has Charles (9), Nicks(10), Lynch(11).

Based on your mocks, what draft position do you find works out the best?
It depends. I like the results I've had drafting 1st, but I'm by no means married to the pick. Absolutely no one has sent me a trade offer for the 1st pick, I don't get it. I said I'm willing to shop it for days...

In the 16 teamer I don't expect to get a top half draft slot (It's been my history, best slot I've had in No Quitters history is 7th), so I've tried everywhere from 8-14.

One other thing... I haven't decided who I want if I keep my #1 pick in the Economy League. I may not be The Maverick anymore, but at the same time I'm going to do my due diligence and have been researching other worthwhile names at #1.

EDIT: YES! I just got the Mock Draft Machine medal for my last draft of the night! 50 MOCK DRAFTS IN ONE OFFSEASON!

After 50 mock drafts, I'm going to be terribly disappointed if you don't draft a decent team this season.

Some of the best looking teams on draft day can ed up being the worst. Can't predict injuries and players like Gronkowski, Cam, and Jordy coming out of nowhere.

I tried to get in some mock drafts on Yahoo, and they were all 14 teamers. Am I missing something, or is that the only option?

Or McFadden a game day decision for 8 weeks with missing testicles.

I got an offer... Would you trade Aaron Rodgers for Drew Brees and Rashad Jennings?

I have MJD, so obviously Jennings would be good insurance if his holdout continues, but is it worth downgrading from Rodgers to Brees at QB?

Here's my roster:

I just remembered that NQ4 has the idiotic sack penalty.

Where can I find QB stats that also list how many sacks each QB took over the last few years?

It's -0.5 this year not -1. I would just draft the best QB possible if I were you. For example, Rodgers takes a lot of sacks but he still scores a ton. Any QB who throws a lot will take sacks regardless of the o-line

Here are sack stats if you still want them

Alex Smith led the league in sacks taken even though they play so conservative. Weird

I think you have to make that deal. Brees is not that much of a downgrade and your RB situation is terrible. MJD probably won't start for a week or 2 if he even ends his holdout.

Also, see if you can get Ronnie Brown. He will start for SD in week 1

You and your Chargers obsession.

I wonder what the over-under is on Chargers you roster tomorrow?
I think I'd set the figure at 3 1/2 and still take the over.

I'll take the over also.

Ubertag, if you have seen Seasons 1 and 2 of our League Cloudy loves loading up on players from one highpowered offense. He used to rep Indy with Manning/Wayne/Clark back in the day.

Well I always take Peyton or Rivers if I can get them. Then their RBs (starter and possibly handcuff) and K lol. So it'll be a lot of Broncos or Chargers depending on the QB

Seeing how they both have the Week 7 bye, should we just pencil in a win for your Week 7 opponent (Bail Kings) right now?

Also, when you're drafting Chargers RBs make sure you pick up Jackie Battle (star of my big trade with Frankman last season) and Curtis Brinkley as insurance for Ronnie Brown and Ryan Mathews. You may even want to look into securing Le'Ron McClain.

If you roll with Manning, don't forget to land Knowshon Moreno, Lance Ball and Ronnie Hillman along with McGahee in Denver.

Fuck, the draft is less than 6 1/2 hours, and I haven't slept (it's 2:10 am here, and the draft starts at 8:30 am in my current time zone). Hopefully I can get a few hours in tonight. We all need to be sharp with Young Maverick in the field.

Can't sleep through the draft, Puddles. Rest up and set your alarm.

Yung Maverick is dead. I don't see myself making a shitton of trade offers like I did in the past. That's why I've concentrated so heavily on mocks and redid my whole focus.

In all seriousness, I think I'd be happy if I didn't make a single trade this Fantasy season.

Just a heads up to those of you drafting in NQ4 in just a few short hours... if your 'Net connection times out within the Yahoo! drafting client and you have players queued up to be picked, you will automatically switch to auto-draft and they will be selected for you even if you reconnect just seconds later.

While it may be tempting to use the queue list as a work area from which to choose players whenever your next turn comes up this can come back to hurt you if you're basing your picks on the flow of the draft (as you should be). I recommend using cheatsheets elsewhere and only queuing up a player when you intend to draft them.

I've got a 10-team keeper league draft at 7:30pm tonight. My keepers are Megatron, Ray Rice and Jimmy Graham. Needless to say, I'm pretty comfortable heading into this one.

Just finished my last Mock Draft (#51). I am officially ready for the NQ4 Draft, all I have is a rather messy sheet of paper and a 2nd FireFox tab with another ranking system at the ready.

See you guys at 9 PM EST when the Draft Order is announced!

It's so close I can smell it. Please don't give me 14th, 15th, or 16th pick! Probably just jinxed myself.

Can't wait for the bloodbath of spares by the 4th round. Have two drafts tonight that overlap slightly so I will probably not be chattering it up much tonight. Not like I am anyway.

I will be quite content to not have a bunch of people auto-drafting in the middle rounds.

Thankfully the fact that this is a money league should deter people from such foolishness.

Hmmm... I'm drafting 13th this year. Reverse of my 4th place draft slot from a year ago.
(Yes, this post means the NQ4 draft order is now live.)

And the Yahoo! Best Draft Award goes to... Hookers and Blow. Interesting.

EDIT: okay that rating I don't get. I think it's weighing AP too heavily.

Peyton's Creaky Neck

Round Pick Player Position
1. (7) Darren McFadden RB
2. (26) Steven Jackson RB
3. (39) Philip Rivers QB
4. (58) Antonio Gates TE
5. (71) DeSean Jackson WR
6. (90) Malcom Floyd WR
7. (103) Sidney Rice WR
8. (122) LeGarrette Blount RB
9. (135) Joel Dreessen TE
10. (154) Dustin Keller TE
11. (167) Dexter McCluster RB
12. (186) Stephen Hill WR
13. (199) Nate Kaeding K
14. (218) Arizona DEF

I think I did well. Week 7 byes are an issue but I'll figure that out when I get there. 3 TEs and I'll trade one of them for depth.

Got return yards with D-Jax and McCluster. Potential sleepers in Blount, Hill and maybe Rice if he stays healthy. As long as my RBs don't get hurt, I have a good chance at the playoffs
