Why? It's a transitional adapter... no different than other adapters they've released before

it's cuz people love freaking out over the smallest stuff. jeesh. they've had the same connector for 9 years. it's fine to move on and it'll allow for smaller, thinner products.

There's an adapter.

Even with the adapter, for more devices it won't work since it won't be able to hold up the phone. With the adapter, it won't fit in any of my current docks and such. Many devices also require the phone to stand up using the port, that small adapter will not work for that.

Daylight pictures will probably be the same, not sure how apple's low light improvements really work compared to the 920, but the 920 won't be available until november.

So this really is just them catching up to other phone makers. It'll be nice to finally have an integrated turn-by-turn app. Should have been there 2-3 years ago. I'll be getting a lot of use out of it.
