Same price as the 4S. $199 for 16GB. $299 for 32GB, $399 for 64GB.

I guess iPhone is into the portion of its life that the iMac is currently in. They went through a number of major revisions very quickly until they settled on the all-in-one model, and now they're basically just pushing out comparatively minor spec updates each year.

No more gasping with excitement at the unveiling of the latest iPhone model, I guess. Shame.

When Apple announced a new iPhone, they set a benchmark and other OEM's have to compete with it. This time however, it seems that Apple are playing catch up. Nothing so far has excited or amazed me whatsoever.

Pretty much, almost all of the features they are focusing have already been standard features in most phones for the last ten months or more:

16:9 aspect ratio
LTE
smaller connector
panorama photos
bookmark syncing
turn by turn navigation
3D maps view
automatically send SMS reply when you can't take a call
photo stream sharing

I haven't seen anything that seems exciting here

Why would that make you worry though? And about what specifically?

Nothing about that in particular, as it's a feature I've used maybe twice since owning a smartphone. I was only asking what features I would be missing if I switched from Android to iOS from a phone standpoint. I know there's no widgets, etc etc.

I'm very uninformed when it comes to iPhones from a hands-on perspective. I've never even held one or seen one in action (besides classmates using theirs). I love my iPad, but am unsure about using an iPhone.

Seriously, the only reason for negative reactions is Apple called it 'iphone 5' (they've only had 2 generations of iphone really).

Atm it doesn't look as nice as 4 and the bigger screen seems an attempt to draw in customers who want a large screen, but someone else is just going to jump in and make a nice looking smaller one - taking Apples place.

Sometimes you need to accept your place in the market.
Meanwhile, Apple needs to change the branding, otherwise we'll get to iphone 10 and no one will care.

Seems daft to drop iphone 4 after its been such a success though.
iPhone 4L with the larger screen would have been a better move, if they feel competition heating up - sometimes its time to offer choice.

64GB is nice though but very pricey. Whats wrong with SD cards again?

Well, been waiting to upgrade my phone since the early Summer and waited to this day to hear news about the iPhone 5. Really not impressed now and will prolly look into getting another Android phone.

Though, I'm willing to pick up the iPad Mini whenever the hell that comes out with a fair price.

I'm honestly not that impressed but since I have a 4 and it's At&t and since my work is paying for my upgrade, gonna be getting that Verizon 5
